Hey there,

I draw up a plan of stuff I need to do during the day.

I then spend a few minutes pretending that there is a bomb has been planted inside me, and if I don't get the work done the bomb is going to detonate!

Since I have been doing this my productivity has sky rocketed.

Sounds bizarre but I got the idea from a Dan Kennedy seminar DVD that I have.

In Dan I trust.

blackma :)

P.S. Does anybody have any other ways to kill procrastination?

Hmmmm. I'll do it tomorrow....

no offense, but if you have to imagine a ticking time bomb inside you to kill procrastination you are one lazy s.o.b.

just saying.

I like it, I don't love it. I wouldn't be doing it for free.

The Action Machine is a very useful app to help you with your procrastination. You can get a copy on the thread below:

Yeah, I agree with Wiz on this one. If anyone is having trouble, use the action machine software. I was using a digital timer/alarm until I found this original post by Wiz months back. It is an outstanding little program and does the job.

I preschedule my tasks for the week in advance on Saturday evening, then load them into the action machine for the next day before shutting down for the present day.

The start of the day runs with the first timer getting started.

I was always fortunante to be productive before but now, I do 3 times as much in a work day.

Adderall. ;) And GTD. If you've got everything you need to do broken down there's no excuse to not just get that next box checked off.

My son Jacob is what motivates me I want him to have a great childhood.

Everytime my 6 month old baby son cries, smiles or looks into my eyes the more I realise the importance of my success.

Try Lee Milteer's Habit Busting Audio course. (I don't think I
should introduce her, he's Dan Kennedy's "right hand" :)
sometimes, but also have been on stage with
Tony Robbins... etc.)

It's floating around the internet, you can probably find it.
I think you could spare some time if you only listen to the
program's last CD, but if you wanna go really deep into it,
listen to the whole course once.

Hope I could help,

Doc

I agree with Wiz the action machine is very good for this. Make sure you read the guide that comes with it.
Also make sure that you don't plan things over-optimistically. I used to have huge to-do lists which just got me overwhelmed and procrastinating.
Smart planing + The Action Machine

Haha, over-optimistical planning "kills me" too! Causd overwhelmed feelings like hell, and of course, procastinated everything. One time it got so serious that I generated PHISICAL ILLNESS to myself by that!

It is that serious, guys, so I warn everyone NOT to reach that level, relax, know what you're doing and DO IT!

Lol jeez that's hilarious. I think I could use this one, lol.

1) dump all time wasting sites into the hosts file
2) limit the amount of interruptions (flashing things) going on the screens in front of you
3) get an ipad or spare computer, use it only for general / recreational surfing
4) if you run automated programs at home, run them on a spare computer in another room, automate it as much as possible, and only check in every 3-4 hours
