Best/ good web hosting provider

I've been with BlueHost for 3 years and they were great. Now I switched to MochaHost cause they had cheaper rates but the service sucks. Website is very slow to load and is down alot.

Hey. +1 for hostgator. But if you need unlimited bandwidth and you are fine with not having a cpanel - go for dreamhost. Gl

hostgator my friend.... i own a reseller account and it rocks. its got all the bells and whistles, plus some nifty google seo features....
 
Been using Vmbox for host. A dollar for hosting is awesome. I HATE Hostgator. They're scammers to me. First month is 6 dollars..then 16? what the hell?

1. A dollar hosting is not really feasible unless they're on a reseller account and if they were on their own servers I wouldn't expect them to last too long lol...

2. HG's constantly running a 1st month discounted promotion. They're not scamming anyone they clearly say it somewhere on the site (haha).
 
check for stablehost one gb customer support via email,with coupon it is 1.99 a mth only,limited bandwidth though
 
I am really teeded off right now with host gator.

I have a site that is being made. So, Host gator automaticly updated the wordpress software.
I thought that i had removed wordpress, then poof site is gone.
My web developer was able to restore the site.

He asked me to ask to remove this option so it wont happan again.
I ask host gator to remove the automatic wordpress update install.

They do , and poof site is gone, all that is left is
a dir of files.

I email through a ticket saying, you removed my site , please fix.

They do. They put back my site from 2 weeks ago up on the web.

What bothers me is if they dont know how to do something then say we dont know what we are doing.
But this just planes urks me.
 
hostgator is crap. most cheap shared hosting providers are.
 
I would suggest SimplixHost

They are no big shots but amazing owner and great support.

That's easy. I have about 30 niche blogs I maintain. So I bookmark them all and create a new folder for them in Firefox bookmarks...then I go to that folder and click "Open all bookmarks" -- hostgator will only server about 2 simultaneous blog requests at a time. Out of 30 blogs requests only 2 are loading. Once those first 2 load, then two more start to load...it takes about 5 minutes for all 30 blogs to fully load. On mediatemple, my good host, all 30 blogs load in about 5 seconds. So if you have a high traffic site where there might be more than 1 visitor every few seconds, then hostgator won't be able to support that level of traffic w/o blocking new requests.
 
i am using hostgator since 2 year and so far everything is fine.

For high traffic VPs is gud choice or you can try hostwinds
 
Hostgator for a few years, but recently giving me a bit of problems but nothing i can't handle.
