You can try Market samurai. Keyword research is available even when the trail expires.

I prefer Google Keyword Planner as a most useful tool. Planner tool is pretty easy to use. This is the fact that it provides alternatives to the keywords and phrases that were originally entered by the user.

I suggests that you should use Google Keyword Planner because it is the
most used and popular keyword research tools out there.
The only reason for it being so popular is it’s free and is directly integrated with Google AdWords.

They recently changed so that it's not giving specific data anymore, it gives you a very broad range I.e 1k-1mil. Need to look for alternative now

The best free tool is ubersuggest.io ...has everything Google Keyword planner hides, awesome chrome and Firefox extension add-on for your Google daily searches which shows search volume and CPC rate for your searched Keyword, will say is 90% accurate if not more than. Can also tweak it to be organically specified. VPS users are rocking with it.

Tip: Merge Google Keyword planner, ubersuggest, buzzmo, soovle, Google related search and Lynda.

    Everything is free. Cheers mate

So now that Google planner is withholding some vital info from us, I hope there is any better alternative.

This tool sucks. signed up for a free trial and got upgrade message on second keyword search (even though they say one would get three free searches)
