I second the Google Keyword Planner. This is a good tool to use to get supply and demand and other data for free. But you have to know how to use it and analyze the data; be advised that a lot of great keywords are hidden with this tool and just won't show unless perhaps you do some digging by continuing to enter in different seed keywords. Part of the reason for this lack of data is because the Google Keyword Planner is really designed for advertisers, not SEOs.

That said, any keyword that you decide to us whether free or paid, I'd suggest that you make sure that it not only provides you keywords, but also the search volume "demand" around each keyword - else you risk wasting your time targeting a weak keyword. And who has time for that?
