Reaching out to new prospects and making B2B interactions is tough. Cold emails are necessary, but how do you make them as good as possible?

Feel free to share tips/ideas on making cold emails less... cold.

Chime in.

You should never make a COLD email less cold.

It is called cold email for a reason. So when you remove "cold" from the practice of sending emails to people with whom you have no prior relationship, it becomes spam (not warm). You only get a warm list when you cold email and send subsequent follow-ups. This is the temperature of your list from cold to warm to hot:
  • No email at all: 0°C
  • First email: 25 °C (this is your cold email)
  • Second email: 50°C (some level of TRUST with those who show interest based on 25 °C)
  • Third email: 75°C (additional level of trust with those who show interest based on 50 °C)
  • Fourth email: 100°C (you are a pro now. TRUST is there and it takes even more effort to maintain it)

Deal with that. Good luck!

B2B works incredibly well for cold email marketing. I recommend setting up G Suite accounts and using good software that allows custom domain tracking and sending roughly 45 emails per day per email address. You'll get as many leads as you want to as you use this set up. It's not uncommon for me to receive over 5 interested leads in a single day.

And if you can offer the business something of value that really helps. I don't recommend overly sales types of messages...
