Hi Guys!

I need some good advice here!

I've been into this thought for a while now and finally decided to go for it!

I'm going to make a site that writes reviews on games, mostly iOS android (mobile games)

I therefore need a good CMS system for this. I'm used to Joomla, tried wordpress(meh) and those there. But I've seen so many of the newer "cool" versions out there. Those heavily relying on ads and such which can generate good profit if I get enough traffic. I don't feel there is a good way to do that in joomla(which I have found) and Joomla also has problems on mobile units mostly.

I need a good CMS system (paid or free) that works perfect on mobile and also on Desktop. And one that is quite ready set up. I can set up a site fine. BUT I cant program one from scratch xD.

ANY advice would be greatly appreciated!

Hm ok Joomla is rubbish but what didn't you like about Wordpress? I think it has a couple of huge things going for it. There is such a big user base which makes it very easy to use. No matter what you are looking for, Wordpress has an easy (and often free) answer.

Chiefjop: Thanks for the reply. WELL I dont know. After being used to joomla and Prestashop I just felt it was too basic. BUT Perhaps with the right theme it may be just right for me?

I'm tryiing to find a theme with tile/metro look. Im going to display tiles of images of the games.

Something like this: themeforest dot net/item/bt-metro-responsive-joomla-30-template/full_screen_preview/4089702

Perhaps you could enlighten me abit on the wordpress CMS?=)

Then wordpress is easiest and most popular (thats both good and bad, good because you have thousands of plugins, bad because most bots scan websites for wordpress vulnerabilities as its the most popular cms). Responsiveness is related directly to theme, it does not really matter if its wordpress, joomla, drupal or anything else.

yup. yeah but whom can I hire and where.
ive tried freelancer and some here. been left off with scammers ...

yeah true! but well get to that when it happens :)

google loves wordpress sites, they rank high, the only weak point of wordpress is its security vulnerability but there are plugins to help that as well
