Best CMS for 2014

For me it's WP, it's simple to use and has a lot of different themes and plugins to choose from.

Most definitely WordPress, and yeah LOL, you would have to be mentally disable to use anything else.

Looks like I'm mentally ill then ;)
I use Joomla. I use wordpress as well though for some sites.

It's best to keep the good cms to yourself. You don't want it to be as popular to avoid problems going with exposure.

How can there be only one 'best CMS'? Like W130SN so elegantly pointed out, there are different CMSs for different purposes. You wouldn't use Drupal for a one page landing page, but I'd definitely use it for a large, complex website that needs to do some fancy things. Wordpress has been executed extremely well, which is probably a large factor in its popularity, but it's not the only CMS in the world and there are some that are better than Wordpress for some tasks.

It totally depends what you are trying to do. Do you want basic functionality with some stock features ready for you to go, and aren't going to need anything custom? Go WordPress.

If you are interested in an insanely powerful free cms that is stupid easy to customize, go modx.

Enterprise website with huge amount of loads/visits? I hear drupal is the guy you're after.

Client is a middle size business who wants a new website. We include a blog, a lot of images, some videos from YouTube, many many CTAs and landing pages, in the future we plan that users can create accounts and we have about 100-150 pages at the beginning.
We may change the structure of the page a little in the future, which makes me worried about WP limiting what I can do with it.

I take your tip goes towards WordPress guys, but considering this scenario - you'd change your mind?

Wordpress. If you want to be different maybe try shitefinity. Sorry, I mean sitefinity. Slip of the tongue.

From my experience I can tell you that wordpress is the best, and there are a lot of very strong plugins for everything you want to do using it.
