Hey guys , I am having trouble accurately counting the number of backlinks to a competitors webpage.

Traffic travis is telling me there are 700+ links to a page but all of the other online based checkers are telling me that the number is way lower.

All of the online based BL checkers are giving me different answers!

NEED HELP ASAP

All backlink checkers will tell you a different number. I agree with DrumBass and say to use Yahoo Site Explorer.

Just open a new tab and type in "Yahoo Site Explorer" into the address bar. It should be the first link that pops up.

The thing is, I paid for about 300+ backlinks and I have the URLs for all of them but they don't seem to be coming up when you are trying to see the number of backlinks you have. Right now Traffic Travis is telling me I have 7! I know each software will tell you something different but how do I know that these 300+ backlinks are being indexed properly and that my site is getting the proper exposure from them?

I have searched some more. I think this was the answer I was looking for:

No single backlink checker will be 100% accurate. When you buy 300 backlinks just know that if they're not showing up in a checker it doesn't mean they're not there or haven't been noticed by google.

Try to backlink your backlinks or see if someone would be nice enough to do it for you. This will help get your 300 backlinks indexed.

i will recommend you seoquke and search status counting because they fetch the data from yahoo site explorer

Woorank is a good website to get idea about you backlinks and gives other important info about the website

If it hasn't been indexed then I should proceed to Ping them correct?

yeah I was just looking for a similar answer, and I saw axiomdesigns post about woorank. SO i went there and if you type in the website, and scroll down about 3/4 the page you will see a ton of info including backlinks.

backlinkwatch.com will tell you the ANCHOR TEXT thats being used for pointing links to a site (upto a thousand links) - great online tool for a quick and easy overview of whats going on with any site(s) youre monitoring. number of outside back links are shown too.
