So we all know GoolePlay is the big player as far as Android app marketplaces go, but what are some alternative locations you can upload Android apps to and get some install traffic ? I don't care how crappy the site is just ones that have a real shot at getting our apps traffic. We all know Amazon don't mention them.

There are loads of alternative stores like Amazon, GetJar, Mobigenie and F-Droid. These stores have a sizeable number of applications available and can be just as easily used instead of Google Play Store.

Problem with 3rd party stores is that if you plan to monetize with ads, most serious ad networks (admob, facebook, or mediation service like appodeal) won't show ads to users which installed app trough 3rd party app stores.

You wont get the decent amount of installs even you publish your app to all the possible alternative app stores
The only way is to buy the paid submission into some "Recommended" / "Best Apps" sections of these stores, but it also wont bring you too much traffic
