Dam, some people can be really cold hearted. I personally wouldn't be begging if I was in a tight spot, I would rather be willing to do some work to get the money I needed.
At the same time, I'm not against those that are in need of help. You can never truly know another person's situation unless you've been there yourself.
Some people were there but they have since started making loads of money and now have the nerves to be arrogant as if they forgot where they are coming from.
If you look around, you can tell that things in the world seem to be changing for the worst. When all the things we find security in crumbles around us, the only thing we are going to have to look to - is other people.
So be careful not to be too caught up with how much you are making, your wealth etc. There might just come a time when you yourself will be desperate and in need of another person's help.

I really wish a mod would close this thread. I think I've been reamed enough. To all of you that suggest that I could have made $20 in the time it took to post my plea, then you are sadly off track. To those who suggested that I try to fix the cord myself, I already have. I know what fucking tape is, do you think I've lived under a rock for my entire life? If that would have worked, do you think I would have volunteered to be flamed by every arrogant ass here? (SmallStorm, your reply was helpful and polite. This doesn't apply to you.)

Dave, that's not really what I was trying to imply. I'm sorry you took it that way. I had told you earlier in the thread that I agreed with you. I'm just disappointed that people had to keep up the bullshit even after the issue was long resolved. I must admit though, I knew when I started the thread that there would be a bit of flaming. Enough is enough, though.
I'm with Patrick, PLEASE close this thread! I regret opening this portal into the dark depths of hell. However, I still got my new power cord, and I made a friend in the process. Unlimited was an awesome dude, and that's why he is successful while so many trolls never make any money and have to be harsh to other people who are struggling.
One final comment, though.. I wish I could have "worked for the money", but to be honest I am still a noob and I'm lucky to make $20 a week from AC. (I actually use AC because I enjoy writing, so I'm not maximizing the potential profit from it.) I am also a horrible procrastinator and I can put off a single article for more than a day. It's a flaw, but hey whaddaya gonna do? So I sabotage myself; I'm sure I'm not the only one who's had this problem before. Life, it's a process. ;P

I would just like to let everyone know that I did loan FatherCarbon the $20 he needed and he has already paid me back. I just thought it was appropriate to let everyone know that he is a reliable guy.
I've had a few small conversations with him back and forth on here and he seems like a really good guy. It didn't even take him a week to pay me back the money I loaned him.

Dude, I've already explained this previously in the thread. What kind of smartass asks someone if he can get tape? No, we don't sell tape in my part of the country. It was created by the devil to assist in the rape and murder of innocent women. So tape is forbidden. Always. Forever. No tape. At all.
PS. The shielding on the cord was the reason my patch job didn't work. I'm not a total fucking idiot that didn't even try.
