I was also commended for doing what most people promise, but struggle to do
i quit smoking 1 year ago, im on a 90% weekly diet of salad, fish, chicken.
and i am allowed 1 bacon and egg sandwich per week.

They told me, if you stop everything that's bad for you, your more likely to go
back to the things you missed rather than just having a little here n there helps
fight the cravings.

I was outta breath while talking to my doctor on the phone, he asked are you ok?
i simply replied im out on a 5 mile walk i do it 3/5 times a week. he simply replied
good for you.. i don't do half measures . its all or nothing .

Still, im grateful to be here heading to Christmas 2021 - there is no fail
there is no quit, there is no cant, there's only fcking DO IT.

I leave with this thought, i have a few friends on BHW and a few people
who like to ride my back, to my friends i thank you for your support over
the last year, and to my other [ FANS - SARCASM ] if your hoping ill fail
that bus left a long time ago. I dont do failure . thanks guys

each night i as i sit here working - i listen to this b4 i goto bed,
keep your friends close and your enemies closer .

Great to hear you doing well mate! It's been quite a journey huh?
for a guy who always has come back [ which usually gets me in trouble ] lols
yeh the first 6 months of this year was tuff, i was scared to go out, scared to
to do anything. it was my wife who bashed me in the head, not literally

she said, i didnt marry a wuss, i married a guy who cares about nothing/no1
i had to get hold of my fear of a 2nd attack and burry it deep down, then get on
with eating exercising and LIVING

Glad to hear it. This is really inspiring.

I think bhw as a whole would have sued your doc but glad he did good work stay strong always and forever
sued my doctor? oh for actually keeping me alive

As someone who’s on a similar journey, I understand how difficult this must’ve been.
Keep staying healthy.

quitting smoking is horribly difficult, it's been 3 years I was supposed to "stop tomorrow" :suspicious:

Great to hear that you are better!

For all the guys who want to quit smoking:
There is a medicament out there that really helps!

Varenicline (also called Chantix or Champix)

I used it myself to get rid of this discussing cigarettes, and it really works wonders.
Don't say yourself: I will stop tomorrow, and then you don't.
Don't say yourself: I don't want to take a med to assist me in quitting, and then you won't.

Quitting smoking is for sure a "head thing", but this med really helps you adjust your habits in your head.

Give it a try!

I quit smoking 4 weeks ago.
My mum, smoking all her life, discovered a lung cancer with no solution. She asked me to stop and of course I did.
We are fighting everyday and I am trying to stay with her 24/7. I wasted a lot of time of my life working, smoking and thinking about stupid things, but I am not blind anymore.
Be strong bro.

Choose your addictions wisely, brothers.

Aspartame > sugar.
Caffeine > nicotine / alcohol.
Dancing > sitting.
Masturbation > whatever...

Each time I smoked, whether high or not, I saw giant cancer crawling up my spine. This always motivated me to not touch the stuff sober in solitude...

Hope it'll only get better, brother.

I'm in my early 20s, smoked cigarettes for the first time a week ago, was thinking about doing it again. I guess no more.

Congrats man, you are showing a fuckton of willpower and commitment... I wish my mom would do the same as she's been on her 4th heart attack...

BTW, keep rockin'!

Bless you man. You're a fighter, kudos!
I had some medical issues myself.
When I started training, all the other things feel into place. My health and motivation.
Can't have one without the other.
Keep up the good work and stay strong!

It most certainly is.
I didn't quit yet but have lowered my dose of nicotine and mostly switched to an alternative, vaping.
No allan carr books ever helped in my case.
Good luck on finding a method that works for you!
