Basic WH SEO Package for New Web Customers

I have a small hosting / web development shop and I'd like to offer my new customers a basic SEO package for a nominal fee. Something that would provide a modicum of value and at the same time wouldn't require too much effort on my end.

I'm not trying to fleece them by any stretch, just provide a value-added service that benefits us both. I'm looking for this to be a one-and-done service - not an extended campaign - that I could charge somewhere around $50-100 for. If I could automate it, even better.

Hopefully this isn't too general. If anyone has any ideas I'd be greatly appreciative.

If you're clients are targeting keywords with small to no competition then you can simply give them a small SEnuke blast.

The software is still pretty good and will get the job done.
If you have 5-6 clients you will be able to pay for the software and make a nice profit.

I don't recommend you do this.

I understand what you mean with a value added service, is a great way to add extra value to your customers.

However if the keywords are not super easy, you will not accomplish much with a one time blast. In the end your customers will not see any benefits and will think that you just squeezed more money out of them.

Try to offer a "Product" instead of a "Service" for added value. For example SEO is a service versus a video, a mobile site, content, etc. That way once the product is delivered your obligation to perform is done.

What about basic tasks like submitting to search engines, creating an XML site map, etc.. ?

You could offer a Press Release service where you write and syndicate a release for your client, this will give some SEO benefit whilst also providing a tangible product with definitive boundaries.

The sale to your customers is a no brainer. Simply ask "Do you want someone else using your brand name on social networking sites?" Who would say yes?

No idea of the SEO benefit (they claim there is one), but that isn't the point of the sale. They get something of real value for a low price.

One-time value adds like this are ideally what I have in mind. I'm considering the press release angle too. I have a good lawyer pal turned grad student in creative writing that I'd like to farm some writing tasks out too.
