Hello. If I have some backlinks from not active websites it is bad for me?
 
[I was wondering, shouldn't we also concern ourselves with a htacces file - Even tho this is not for newbies. It can be a pretty painless thing to set up right the first time. So all of your sites operate in the same way.] This way you don't duplicate pages or lose backlinks.

I have seen some pretty easy examples out there that show canonicalization in a few basic steps.

- just have to watch out for the .htaccess file as it is often hidden and you will need rights to be able to see the file in your FTP or cpanel.
