Title speaks for itself. Ran some eCommerce stuff and did some sketchy things against ToS for most payment providers like PayPal/Stripe. Anyone aware of a better payment processor less prone to banning/seizing money. Or conversely, does anyone know how to circumvent bans?

If you don't stop doing sketchy things, then you will get banned in other payment processors too. Do things legally and secure your future.

Use PayPal stealth accounts. They will all hold your money if they think something is up, they don't want to lose money either. PayPal release the money after 180 days without problem.

Nothing illegal. Just the niche I'm in keeps getting me banned.

What sketchy things did you do?

Nothing technically illegal, Just against ToS. Won't reveal niche on here, sorry friend.

Hi Stianos - you haven't provided much of the detail which would help someone give you some solid suggestions. However, I will try with what little you have provided. Providers like Paypal and Stripe tend to approve all applications up front, then weed out the merchant categories they don't like after merchants have already started processing. This may have been what happened to you. You are definitely better off being completely honest about your product/service and business model, and getting an approval up front from a high risk provider based on what you are actually selling/doing. There are high risk providers out there; however, which provider would work for you depends on all kinds of factors like where you are located, what you sell, your payment processing history, etc. I recently wrote an article about high risk processing which might help you out. I don't know how to private message on this message board but if you know how to private message me I could send you a link to the article.

Skrill & 2checkout

open a real merchant account like FirstData. I assume you are in the USA, because america hates money. I worked with many niches that are borderline (nothing illegal) and yea alot of merchants will ban you just for selling X even when you have 0 chargebacks... again, america hates to take money. It's ridic. Your best bet is opening a merchant account that isn't from the USA but I dont know much more info on that. But think like Swiss bank accounts but for payment processing, where they dont care as long as they are making money (your processing fees)

Yeah because we all are dying to know what niche gets you banned in every gateway...

Time to stop with the kiddy stuff and do things the right way.

I am fairly certain I am not permitted to post a link to my article on this website per the TOS of this forum. Maybe a moderator could respond and confirm? I don't want to get banned from this forum.

If it is promotional, you are correct.

Thanks for the insight. Feel free to PM me with any extra information.

Now I'm all curios what you could have done to get banned.

I didn't do anything specifically to be banned. Seems like PayPal suddenly decided they didn't like my business and purged myself and quite a few of my competitors.

Skrill & 2checkout

I will check them out.

paymentwall is good

I'll look into it.

This is my exact problem, PayPal used to have this attitude as well. I will give this a try.

Maybe if I get banned on all these alternatives and it stops making money completely.

I do other more legitimate work, but this side-business often out-earned my legitimate stuff.

Use bitcoin (if using a wordpress site you could use blockonomics or a free plugin like it) Accept payments using btc then when its time to cash out just transfer the funds to coinbase. On coinbase it allows you cash out instantly with paypal. Use a clean paypal account when you cash out. Never leave funds in your PayPal more than 24hours. Better yet get a paypal prepaid card they are easy and quick to get. You can transfer funds instantly from your paypal to your card. Good thing top is the paypal and paypal prepaid are two different entities if they decide to freeze your account they can't do anything to funds transferred to your card. I always keep like 3 different paypal prepaid cards at a given time to cash out with.
