Google always says that. Quality content can't be the only biggest factor. Quality is subjective. Backlinks are not.

You can Rank with fake traffic then you will get Real visitors by Google but this will fked up your website in the future like 3-6 months later.

I checked it's redirect traffic coming on my way, I already generated many leads in few days even I never generate in a month. 50% fake clicks I got already.

Where is the traffic coming from? I guess this is the secret. You could hire someone to reverse engineering it and start it as a service. There is a lot of people here waiting for this type of service. Or just resell his service.

I am one of those people who believe and I pay for it as most of keywords are taken by the competitor in my niche with cheap backlinks.
I follow the publish and pray method, wait fo several months to receive page one for some keywords only to be out played by new sites which are using cheap directory backlinks.

Sites with most authority as legitimate companies wins, and sure they have backlinks from other authoritive sites to back this up..
But the fact from Google is true "Backlinks" doesnt matter at all from the perspective of just chasing after DR/UR/DA metrics. The websites that win SERP is newspapers and other authoritive sources that Google can trust (And not because of backlinks, because they are big companies and therefore more "trustwhorty" then a random person sitting in a basement trying to game the algoritm with backlinks)...
Like you focus to much on specific words from the statement, try to understand the whole concept instead. Obviously the Google patent with SEED pages still exist, but buying shitlinks (forum, web2.0 etcetcetc) doesn't work.

Reading between the lines- Google has to rely on community feedback to confirm for certain that content is high quality and relevant (ie backlinks).
Google is striving to determine this independently via content analysis.
The statement makes me think that they think that they’re nearly there with being able to analyse content with 100% accuracy.
Judging by many of the skewed serps though, I’d say that’s definitely wishful thinking and I don’t think the value of backlinks will diminish any time soon, as much as Google would like them to.
