I don't think the ranking position has anything to do with it. The algorithm and the patents used for it is in the public domain. Google will obviously be secretive about it, but you can go look at the formulas. I don't think ranking position of a page plays into how "powerful" the link is. Based on testing I have done, it does seem very much like links that get actual clicks pass more value than links on a PBN site that doesn't get seen by anyone ever. That would make sense, since links certainly is still a factor, but not all links are a factor and obviously not all links have the same value.
Again, pretty easy to test. Just like not all links are equal, not all traffic is equal either. A link that gets clicks because it's on a site that gets real traffic has higher value than link on a site that gets no click (on the link itself) because the site gets no traffic.
Exactly. So would you say that a link from a site like that is worth getting? And if not, would you still say that traffic is not a ranking factor? I think it's much more likely that a link that never gets clicked by an actual user is not a ranking factor.
Being worried about it would be pointless, since there is nothing you can do about it. You are not Google and you do not control Google.
This either doesn't make any sense because it's stupid, or it doesn't make sense because Google translate sucks. Either way, it doesn't add any value to the discussion.

Why hide the domain and the URL? What are you trying to hide? Excuse me for not trusting you pseudo link science here simply because you won't let me explore the data myself. From where I'm standing you are the exact type of "SEO" that Google is not concerned about in the least. Blogspot links, hahahahaha. You probably think it's worth creating social media links too.

Google don't have access to click data and they aren't using it as a ranking factor. This is not how google works. This is pure imagination/conspiracy theory.
I can tell you 100%, from direct experience. I run a 7 figure a year company that relies on SEO and I have ranked 100's of sites.
I am not telling you something from an article I've read on the web. This is my *direct* experience over the past 8 years of doing SEO.
Traffic is NOT a ranking factor. Clicks are NOT a ranking factor.
When I say I'm not "worried", it's not because it would be "pointless". It would be akin to saying that porn producers are worried that men will stop watching porn. It's so out of reality, hence I say it's "comically laughable".
Traffic is *not* a ranking factor. This is something, the mostly whitehat types, have been ranting about for a very long time. And in my experience it's pushed as a sales tactic by those selling junk links, because it's *ultra* easy to get traffic to a site. It isn't easy to get strong links. And it is links that have always been the source of power for a site. There is absolutely no patents and no high level SEO person that's ever talked about google using click data or traffic as a ranking factor. This is pure conspiracy theory nonsense that people imagine up because it "sounds logical".
It's such a low level idea that you don't even see any major people in the industry talk about it. The only ones who push it are sellers of trash guest posts with useless links that rank for a whole bunch of low comp keywords, and people eat it up because it sounds good and generally people have no understanding of engineering.
It's such an unreliable metric to rely on clicks. It has absolutely no connection with trust or reliability. The web would be a complete mess if you ranked sites based on only links that got clicks.
You are making the assumption that the only valuable pages are pages that should get clicks. This is not the case, and Google understands this.
Clicks are based on popularity and the ability to get traffic.
It's like saying coca cola is the best soft drink in the world because it's the most popular. It's just the most marketed. You are essentially saying that only the big soft drinks count and have value.
It does not work in practical terms. It does not work in search engineering.
Very few pages get traffic. You have to understand this. If you believe that only backlinks from pages with traffic have value then you are excluding 90% of pages on the web, no matter how strong they are, no matter what backlinks they have or how close they are to a seed page.
I have shown you a patent that talks about how backlinks ACTUALLY work.
Find me a patent that talks about links passing value if they have clicks, or links passing value if the pages they're on get clicks.
We'd all be getting $50 links on techbullion.com and making millions dominating the serps if what you said was true.
It has 208k traffic. Lots of clicks there. Unfortunately a link from it won't do jack shit.
