Backlink from another country. Could be a problem?

The story goes like this:
I'm going to make some guest posts for other blogs, all from the same niche as mine. The detail is my blog is in Portuguese, the blogs that I will send have English as a language.

My question is: can I be penalized by Google or not receive the same juice from a blog of my language?

Important details:
1. Niche is very busy in my language, therefore nobody (few) realize guest post;

2. If at the end of the article you write this: If you are fluent or study Portuguese, access Blog X, which sent us this guest post. Would it be a good strategy?

If it's from an English site I don't think it'll be a problem.
Maybe better doing a PBN yourself, so that you decide the language and the content of the sites where you get your backlinks from.

But that might be a long and pricy solution.

Building a PBN would take me a lot of money and my money is scarce. Being sincere, would you do what in my situation?

I'll be honest with you, as I'm not into SEO anymore.
What I was doing back then was looking for some forums related or not related to your niche.

Forums are wonderful tools as you have many ways to hide your backlinks in forum posts and make them contextual by adding some hidden content along with it. Won't go too much into details as this can be a wonderful technique, but that's the cheapest and best solution I know of.
