Autoblogs - Why so much BS about them?

Promotion is still the key in any online model, even an autoblog. Once you are setup with the autoblog, here are some ways to drive traffic:

First, it still starts with keyword research. Easiest way to explain this is Travis' Bum Marketing Method. Just google it.

Once you figure out the keywords, write a couple articles and make a 30-60 sec video with the keyword phrase as the title.

Submit the articles to ezinearticles, buzzle, and goarticles.

Use tubemogul and submit the video to them to distribute to all of the video sites. Now you will have like 5-6 links all pointing back to your new site. I get my sites ranked on the 1st page of gxxgle in less than an hour almost each time I do this.

Hope this helps with the promoting part. This should be done with each new blog you setup just to get some good PR sites linking to you and they will drive traffic to your site because of the keyword research you did.

there are already excellent guides, i've only found good information in bhw.

Don't try to down someone else to 'up' yourself. just give good information and people will buy your guide, jvmarket.

I was going to make a smart ass reply to this but I think we have a good learning opportunity. I was not trying take down anyone, if you sort through my post you'll see where I share things that I didn't do well.

We all had a chance to take a look at a site and critique it (which is what the site owner ask us to do).

I you plan on being in this business very long I would suggest learning from mistakes, whether they're yours or someone elses. There is a lot to be learned.

Here are most of the plugins we use on most of our blogs. I say most because the are a couple of pay services that we use that have their own plugins. You'll notice that we use a number of content generators a couple I'm very familar with the others our VA's use so I have not paid too much attenton to. We dont use every plug-in on every blog once we determine the purpose of the blog we then set it up accordingly.

Though this is technically an autoblog we have a special purpose for this blog so it does not have all the plugins in it we normally use. This is what I mean when talk about knowing the purpose of the blog before we have it built.

1st page of google with 5-6 links? I have a few hundred links for most of my blogs. I havent written any articles though, I've found when I submit to ezine they usually reject my articles no matter how hard I try.

By the way, some people have been saying their getting thousands of pages indexed by google. How many damn posts per day are you putting out? I'm only doing about 5-10 posts per day so most of my blogs only have around 500 total posts with maybe half indexed. Should I crank it up?

Do on your own don't follow people.. Ask and get your own idea. That's way you can Learn.....
If you are following one where you even won't be so lucky you will be full of hatred to others who you follow ....

To tell you the truth nothing gonna change. Even you have one post per day you can earn 10$ on that day if you do promotion greater than the one who do autoblog
Don't believe me ? Let see others blogger who success without autoblog? How do they got reader ? How do they got visitors ? How do they got click to their ads?

Autoblog is blackhat for lazy earner for more automated income. If you succedd the more the index the better

I have a blog that was built in December of 2008...it has 11K posts....we were posting 300-500 posts per day....we were also using auto social poster to bookmaker every post to 10 bookmarking accts.

That blog got deindexed by Google....lol Like I've said before...just because you can do something doesn't mean you should.

I dont know if you should crank it up or not...depends on your blog and its purpose.

I'm asking because everyone else doing autoblogs seems to be getting more traffic than me and I dont understand why. I've spent alot of time bookmarking, submitting to directories, comment spamming, etc but its just so BORING and I dont see results. I figured maybe theres something else wrong. I want these blogs to last a while so I wouldnt consider hundreds of posts a day but was just wondering if 5 posts a day is not enough.

Its so time consuming to promote 25 blogs I cant stand it.

agreed 100% with the OP. I like blogs, I spend 30 minutes setting up a nice decent wp blog to monetize or to send traffic to. But autoblogs? I'll pass.

Following on from ?dup content is a myth? it must be true as I have 13 sites all identical when it comes to content. The only difference between each site is one specific key word and they are all number 1 in goggle. However they all have charity as the main theme and key words so maybe goggle takes that into consideration.............anyway just thought I would throw that one out

you dont need to buy anything...you can use blogger or wp.com....To have more options you can buy a domain and hosting....the plugins you would need are all free.

we do some specialized things so some of the plugins we use cost money....these are not required though
