Asking ppl to like thread in giveaway section

Hi guys,

Was wondering if it's ok to ask people to like your thread to apply for a giveaway .

As far as I understand the feedback in giveaway section doesn-'t count towards your ratings, am I wrong ?

I've seen quite some ppl with giveaway threads requiring to like the thread being called out by other members so I'm a bit confused whether this is allowed or not .

You can't ask people to like your thread because it don't sound right

You cant ask Members to like your thread. It's against the rules of this forum. Instead, ask them to apply via replaying to your thread with a specific word or sentence.

Asking for likes in a giveaway is getting a review in essence and asking for reviews in a giveaway/freebie is not allowed per the sticky thread in that subforum.

I just resolved a report on one of those threads.

As stated in the freebies rules, what you're offering must be 100% free of charge. Asking for anything before or after the freebie, including likes, is not permitted.

ALL threads and/or replies published in this section REQUIRE whatever you're offering to the community to be 100% FREE OF CHARGE.

Anyone caught asking for likes in the freebie section will have their giveaway threads closed and their likes removed. If anyone sees any freebie threads where the host is asking for likes, please report them.
