Ok, here's a good question. I've built a subreddit from 0 to 50,000 subscribers in a single year. Instagram looks like a larger audience and a better fit for my niche though, and, also, Reddit recently changed their algorithm to prioritize discussions over images and videos. I'm looking to move my audience to Instagram and Discord. Have you had any experience building an IG account from an existing mid-size community? How many migrated over? What kind of boost did it provide, if any, compared to organic methods like engaging with similar accounts already on IG? Because I have almost no Instagram presence but a large presence on Reddit.
Secondly, posting to Reddit on a daily basis started becoming a chore. Have you used tools to auto-post to Instagram? Do accounts get penalized for this? I know my content is good. We were one of the highest engagement and fastest growing subreddits before the algorithm changed.
