    Hi Drought,

As far as I can see you recommend running Conversion for Purchase ad sets for e-commerce sites. However if this is a new website and there is no recent purchase (7 days or earlier) Facebook says "Your ad may not be optimized for conversions because we haven't received any activity from your pixel in more than 7 days." So would it be fine to do it for Add to Cart or Initiate Checkout?

Also, what would you say for creating Lookalike audience for existing Add to Cart and Purchase audience that is 150 to 200 people?

    Thank you.

    A couple of questions

I started running PPE ads and ended up with 1 creative that worked the best with a lot of engagement and 100 thousands of views.
I took this creative and starting running PUR campaign with cold interest targeting, 10 adsets with 1 creative each.
A couple of days later I ended up with 5 adsets with purchases "8 purchases in total" and 3 of those have a positive ROAS.
What would you suggest me to do at this point?

Do I duplicate those "winning" adsets with a higher budget into the same campaign or duplicate them into a CBO campaign?
The ones with a negative ROAS do I duplicate them and change the targeting a bit towards the demographic that got me the sell? ex; female, age, placement?
just to see if they could pick up and turn into a positive ROAS before going to the next step?

The adsets that did not result in any purchases after BEP I turned them off, but someone told me in the past days I should never turn them off and turn off the ads inside of them instead?
is that a good practice? and if so why is that a good practice?

    * I also made a PUR campaign with lookalikes of 95% VV since I had 100 thousands of views it seemed like a good idea..
    1%, 1-2%, 2-3%, 3-4%, 4-5% but I had no purchases after BEP, any suggestions?

    Thanks in advance :D

I started running FB ads to an affiliate offer a few days ago.. I used 8 images, 3 headlines, 3 ad copy and I set it to Dynamic Creative, letting FB do the work. They are all linking to my website which is a quiz page that leads to my affiliate offer. I've collected 200+ emails, had over 250+ hops... no sales. $60+ spent.

I tried 3 different audiences- one very broad, one bit more specific, and one composed of just lookalike audience (I have 1500+ buyer emails from the vendor).

The worst performing ad set was he lookalike, so I stopped that one early on, just because it was the most $ per lead (per click to affililate offer).

I think that I need to try lookalike's again to target people that actually buy.

    A course I got recommended to try this: US, 1%, 1-2%, 2-10%
Canada, 1%, 1-2%, 2-10% and so on, for all the big english countries (i've attached a pic so you know what it looks like).

Is this the best way to go about targeting lookalike audiences? also, whats your opinion on FB ads for affiliate offers? thanks.

Hi, I have 2 questions lately, please help with your clear advice.
1/ How to raise as much as possible Frequency from Lead campaigns?
2/ How did you narrow the target audiences?
Thanks a lot. I think those questions are helpful for many people.

    mark14141414,
With which interest targeting did you run the initial PPE ads? I just want to know whether you ran PPE ads with the same interest targeting you used for PUR campaigns.? Or did you not add any interesting targeting for PPE ads?

Best product testing strategy? because i have a great product that on other platforms sells really well, there aren't any FB ADS for but i got 200 clicks and 5 add to cart, only one 1 sale, so do you have any tips? my ad aims for purchases, because is my target to make sales no?, so why not start directly to optimize for sales instead of engagement? and for scale up, what do recommend?

    Hi there.

I’m involved in the life insurance niche. I’m trying to find an optimal way to generate final expense (funeral insurance) leads. Targets are people from 55 to 80, low to mid income in Florida. Any ideas to test?
    Thank you!

I'm getting a lot of questions about testing/targeting/optimizing. I could go through and answer them individually, but here's what 99% of them can be answered with:
    1. Carousels and videos are performing best for me right now across ALL industries. eCommerce, lead gen, etc.
    2. Start by testing 1 interest/lookalike audience in an ad set, with a bunch of different copy/creative variations to see which one performs best. I'll usually start with 6-10 creatives within that 1 ad set, running at $50 a day (you can obviously start lower)
    3. Once you've found your "winning" creatives, start testing different audiences. Remember, 1 interest/lookalike per ad set. Sky is the limit as to how many you want to test at once but I'll usually do 2-3 at a time.
    4. Let them run for 3 days, if they are within KPI, keep them running. If they are OUTSIDE of KPI, cut their budgets by 50% and repeat. If they still are outside of KPI delete them

That's it. You can use this framework to test/optimize almost any offer.
