Arvixe review (spoiler: they are Sheit!)

Well, now not only is my site down (I deleted it) but also my account is suspended because I supposedly have used too much server space when I have nothing but a backup in my account. I don't know but it seems someone has a vendetta against Arvixe and is trying to take it down, Already the discussion board is down and support is non-existent. i have no server alerts but when I try to access my site I get a suspicious page telling me I've used too much server space and that my account is suspended. I've lost a lot of money this past month.

Yeah my server at Arvixe has been down for several days. It's really pissing my off because I need to get a fresh backup of my home directory, I got the sql right before it went down. I had a chat with Arvixe CS (this is before I knew EIG bought them) and it didn't seem the same, the agent seemed fucking clueless.

So I went looking for a new host and ran across this list of hosts that have been acquired by EIG. It's a horrible thing.

Anyway, I did find a host that is not on that list, and I went with TMDHosting. They have SSD hosting and reasonable prices, they also allow adult content(in case anyone is looking for an adult friendly host). I am not affiliated with TMDHosting other than being a new customer.

Also, the person I spoke with at TMD said they have recently acquired several former Arvixe customers.

I'm not saying it will be the answer to everyones expectations, but it's worth a look.

Alright, so finally got my home directory, and I just got my site up and running on TMDHosting (no CDN). Tested it out on GTMetrix, it got a Yslow score of 92% and a page speed score of 81% out of the box.

On Arvixe just navigating the dashboard was a nightmare, now it fuckin hauls ass.

I can't begin to tell you how much stress just melted away over this whole deal, Lol.

I am agree with you, arvixe also terrible for me. Taking ages to respond to support tickets and the mail server has been down for a long time. Had an issue with a site a couple of weeks ago and they took over a week to respond!
Now, I move my site to another provider. I try asphostportal as our developer suggest and I found they have many data centers, one of them near with my location in canada.

This is the worst hosting company I have used in 10+ years. Stay away.
