Hi guys,Anybody using Arvixe shared hosting plans? Mine has always been very slow and downtime routine every night (GMT+8)! My 1yr will expire 2016, but with a very important project, enough is enough. I won't tolerate their shitty service anymore!

Can anybody recommend a shared hosting that is decent and honest about thier 99% uptime guarantee and at least fair on speed? Thanks guyz!

Hello yes i also have the same problem to much down time.

Once again, another company thats been taken over (recently - last month or two?) by EIG. Its now being run into the ground as per normal.

Backup and get out of dodge!

Go with Site5. Their popularity is based on their service.

I use Hostwinds and I'm happy about it. Not affiliate or anything but it's hard to find decent prices and quality at the same time. Also, Digital Ocean is a great choice if you want cheaper VPSs.

If you host your site in US, you can check asphostportal.com hosting plan. The price around $3.00-$6.00/month. Quite good. :)

CrocWeb has been one of if not THE BEST hosts I've ever used. Outstanding service. Doesn't get better if you ask me. Run...Don't walk.

I use Arvixe for a lot of my passive income sites. They do go through some bad patches every now and then, they also credit you if you say you want compensation for their downtime (usually 1 - 3 months free). But if this project is that important get a VPS and don't use one of the cheapest shared hosts going.

Yeah, although the struct of idea had come while i'm in their hosting plan, i do plan on migrating the project to other hosting but even though, just to say since i am noticing those low speed and downtime, i had kept quite but it's too much.

Thought i heard some good reviews before, that's why had decided to go with them, YET another hosting that are hobby is to give you slow speed and mandatory downtime.

Haven't tested them yet but what about speed and downtime?

I've had zero downtime in last 6 months. Literally zero.

Speed has been excellent. I ran a test initially and it was top of charts. Don't remember exact numbers. I switched all my domains from another host. Saw about a 20% increase in traffic believe it or not. That tells you how shitty the old one was, but also how good they are. I didn't need them to, but they transferred all the domains for me. Smooth as can be.

I understand that NO HOST is perfect and I'm sure they're gonna have some hiccups sooner or later but they are as good as I've ever seen in the last 15 years. I've contacted support twice. Response was in less than 5 mins. Can't ask for much more IMO.

Good luck man.

Recently moved away from Arvixe for similar reasons, and decided not to come back since their support feels very different (took 3 days just to cancel a few hosting accounts, then 2 days afterwards to get the refund that they did not issue, despite specifically stating that I wanted one in the very first ticket).

Have been a member since 2012, and a year ago, it all could've been taken care of in 5-10 minutes via live chat.

Anyways, I moved on to StableHost: https://www.stablehost.com, Haven't been with them for long, but things are looking good, and I'd recommend them.

I was going to use them but the order page kept timing out so I went to host winds - sounds like I made a lucky escape...

Wait a moment please, for 4$ you receive shared "unlimited" (BIG LOL HERE). And you complain ? If you do care about your money sites increase your budget to like 10$-15$ and get a better hosting. HostWinds and AbeloHost is good and ~ your budget.
