Hello,
I have a multiniche website, just started it, aged domain etc. My problem is I'm to lazy to write the articles myself, so I scrape them, put them through a spinner, I edit them, put them through a plagiarism checker and I edit it again so that it is 100% unique.

My question is, will this affect my pagerank? I mean putting scraped articles will get my site penalized?

Thanks, Mike

yes, it will affect mate, scraped articles always fails. use unique content mate.

you mean on your money site? It won't last long. For backlinks yeah it's fine. But for main site always put unique content.

Don't use scraped articles, If use your site will be penalized. Try to use the unique and quality content. Google always looks for unique and quality contents.

Yes, most definitely! It will absolutely affect your Google ranking rather than help it. If you are too lazy to create your own, why not outsource it? Just make sure you hire excellent writers only.

I am a provider of content writing services. Some of my clients did what you are doing (using spun and scraped articles) on their sites. They did it because they thought they were saving some money. One day they woke up realizing that they had to invest more to reverse the damages their actions made. It is always a good decision to start it right at the onset, especially if you'd like to do what you do for the long haul.

thanks guys for the replies

Yes, it will affect your ranking and you will be penalized. Posting scraped content is one of the reasons why Google penalizes a certain website. Instead of posting scraped content, just write your own original content or just hire an excellent writer like what other mentioned in their comment. Quality content is very important.

To what degree do you spin? Sentence, paragraph, word?
If you change it up enough you'll be fine, but then the problem comes in on the content being engaging, after it is spun to crap.
So you should be worried about boring, lame, or just bad content that won't convert.

You want to build powerhouse scraped/spun articles? Here is my advice:
Find a niche relevant top X list, or a tip guide.
Spin it, edit it, spin it.
Now take the first item of the list and find an article about it. Scrape it.
Sprint it, edit it.
Use it to replace point 1.
Do this for each point.
Once done, mix points if possible(1->5, 5->3, etc)
Did you get a 10 point list? Ok, make it top 5, then post "Top 5 part2" (hey readers, first part was SO popular, figured we would add to it).

Sure it is work, sure you could have written an article in less time, sure you could buy a guide, BUT, if you don't have the money to buy quality guides or articles, or deep enough knowledge on a subject to write it yourself and don't mind the time investment, you'll have good long content, that is MORE in-depth than the competition, instead of just rehashing their work.
