Quick question for the YouTube monetization experts here.

I've been diving into analog horror content (like CodeRed) and I'm curious if these types of channels are actually getting approved for AdSense monetization.

Anyone here running similar niche horror channels who can share real monetization insights? Would love to know if this genre is worth pursuing for AdSense.

Appreciate any feedback.

Analog horror channels like CodeRed can get approved for AdSense, but it depends heavily on content—avoid excessive violence, graphic imagery, or explicit language to stay within YouTube’s guidelines. Many creators in this niche monetize successfully by keeping content creepy but not overly disturbing. Consistent uploads and engagement also help with approval. If you keep it creative and follow rules, it’s definitely worth pursuing.

Yes, channels focused on analog or horror content can be monetized via AdSense as long as they follow YouTube’s advertiser-friendly guidelines, the key is avoiding overly graphic, shocking, or controversial content.

Actually, most of these established channels don’t have a ‘Join’ button, which makes me wonder whether they’re monetized or not.

analog horror can def get monetized if u keep it clean with no graphic violence or extreme shock stuff. youtube mostly checks for ad-friendly vibes so as long as the content leans spooky not disturbing ur good. seen channels in that niche pull solid views and adsense $$ if they keep it chill and follow tos

Hey u ,
Yes — analog horror channels can make it into AdSense, but many new creators are immediately set to “limited ads” due to even subtle horror themes, which shrinks actual RPM significantly.
Optimize your eligibility by using genuine human narration, keeping gore or overt shock minimal (especially early), sticking to neutral titles/thumbnails, and test-publishing a clean version before going public.
Most analog horror creators only start earning decent ad revenue after consistently delivering advertiser-safe uploads over several months—so pairing YouTube with Patreon, merch, or memberships is a smart backup.

Some do get monetized, but it depends on how graphic the content is and if it follows YouTube’s advertiser-friendly rules. If it avoids gore and sticks to suspense, it has a better chance.

No one can confirm whether they are monetized or not except the channel owner.

as long as your creating content that is following the guidelines of youtube, you can get monetized. so read through the youtube policies, community guideline rules etc.

This niche can be tricky with AdSense. YouTube's guidelines on scary or disturbing content are strict for advertisers. You might get approved, but often ads are limited or the channel gets demonetized if the content is too intense. Most channels that thrive here eventually look at direct sponsorships or merch to make real money, not just AdSense. It's definitely not a guarantee for easy AdSense earnings.
