Guest posts used to be a solid ranking method.

But now I’m seeing:

  • Some sites getting no movement from DR 50+ links
  • While contextual niche edits seem stronger

Are guest posts still part of your strategy or have you shifted elsewhere?

Guest posts are still matters, but it matters only when you have a link from quality domains and relevant sites

DR and DA metrics are now easily be manipulated, never look at those metrics when you pay for backlinks, look at the relevance and history and real domains.

Never ever go for link farms with DA 50+, be cautious when you build backlinks

Your issue is choosing by DR . real traffic (not just ctr spam) and backlink profile are the most important ones

Guest posts still work but quality dropped hard post-updates – only high-DR relevant sites with real traffic/engagement move the needle now. Niche edits feel stronger & safer lately :suspicious: ;)

You sticking with them or switching fully?

I still see guest posts working, but only when they bring real readers and not just a high DR link.

Yes it’s still working bro. Focusing on a niche market with real users can bring significant and long-term benefits to your business.

In my opinion, guest posting is still effective. However, many guest post services place links on websites that have too many outbound links and low quality. That’s why it’s important to carefully review and choose high-quality sites before placing guest posts.

Guest posts seem weaker now; contextual niche edits are performing better. Are others still using traditional guest posts or focusing on targeted edits?

Guest posting is still an effective strategy but it is more effective when used on a site that is highly related to your niche and when you can fit the link within content that has existing traffic, engagement and high topical relevance, rather than focusing on metrics.

If you can get guess posts with real traffic and being niche relevant is for sure worth it just dont go for backlinks from site with no audience and no traffic

Yes, you should filter your desired guest post sites for real "move the needle" authority, relevance and traffic. Get a list of candidate sites, run them through a bulk DA checker to sort out only those rating 50 or above. Extra or optional step is to use the SEMRush Authority Score checker, manually filter them to having an AS of at least 30. Then, use Ahrefs or Similarweb to verify the site has good traffic. After all that, you should be golden.

If you can secure guest posts on niche-relevant sites that have real traffic, it’s definitely worth it. Just avoid backlinks from websites with no audience or visibility.

Yes, this cannot be overstated enough. I'd add look for traffic on these, too.

A true DR DA with real traffic and relevance is of course very good, but only if all factors are met. Don't buy unless they let you know the urls

Guest posts still work but generic DR chasing guest posts are mostly diluted now, while tightly relevant contextual links inside aged, topically aligned pages hit harder because they transfer relevance, not just authority.

Still worth it, but only if the site has real traffic + niche relevance, DR alone is mostly useless now.

Strategy shift: fewer guest posts, more contextual niche edits + owned sites.

Working if you can check at the backend of that website and not just DA/DR/Traffic ---> Mostly considers Ahref Traffic as a Good Quality Guest Post Website but if a site is gaining manipulated traffic by ranking -- "Networth keywords, Celebrity homes, Domain.com" then that website is not worth getting links from. A Good link coming from a Balanced DR, Organic Ranking keywords, Traffic justifying those keywords >>>>>>>>> should help you in Rankings! :)
Good Luck

I have bought many guest posts, few have moved the needle. One from Matthew woodward did result in many thousand $s in sales a month though. If you're still on here Matthew, Thank you.
