Hi guys,
I am trying to improve SEO for my website. I have heard different point of views, as some people say guest posts are good for backlinks but other say that they are not.

Do guest post actually works if the site has real traffic?

Yes they still work if the site has real traffic and real relevance to your niche. Random guest posts on weak sites do almost nothing now so quality matters way more than volume.
