Hi best people from BHW.

I just figured out about IM and got really intriged by it. I have an idea about building a business. But i looked around for hosting. And most are really expensive for something i might not see a single euro/dollar from. Some webhost want a few hunderd dollars upfront. The big and trusted ones.

But i also stumbled on a few cheaper webhosts. For a few euro's a month.
However i am wondering it i can trust those sites. I've read that some hosts dissapear out of nowhere.

My question to you guys is, should i invest in a trusted hosting and if it doesn't go as plannend so be it? Or are the cheaper hosts good aswell?

Don't be mean or rude to me please. I just figured out about IM yesterday and i am trying to learn as much as i can. (I am also not a native english speaker so don't roast my mistakes)

Yours truly,

Greengo

You'll be able to find the reputation of any host or domain seller via social media reviews or web hosting dedicated forums. Hostgator is a usual suspect in the cheap category.

If you're not looking to pump and dump domains, make sure the domains seller offers 2FA sot hat the property you're building can be secured.

Thanks a lot for the reply! I will look into it.

Do you have some reccomendations perhaps?

you can use godaddy $1 a month hosting that comes with a free domain
with that you pretty much spend $12 for that year and u have a year to explore and learn.
lets say you get 6 months into it (or however long)
and u need better a better hosting
godaddy domain is good/decent to have, just transfer it to another hosting
and u can use the godaddy $1 host on another site to muck around with etc

Thank you very much! Very helpful

Cheap is good for your PBNs etc.
If you have very little budget for your main site then you go with what you can afford.

GoDaddy and Namecheap offer hosting, there's also plenty of sellers here in the Marketplace.

I just picked up another account at in motion hosting. Not sure if it's still active but there was a promo going for 6months of their best shared plan for like $42 for 6months. Have always been very happy with them.

For domains I've been using name cheap much more lately. Can almost always get Dot com for under $10 with free private reg and of course plenty of deals on other TLDs. Aside from the pricing, they are very quick to switch the DNS which is a pet peeve of mine.

Cheap hosting is not a scam as long they don't advertise "unlimited everything for 0.99$/mo"
Good for pbn but not recommended for money website.

Thanks for your reply! I have one a question.. with money website, do you mean a membership site. Or also not good for online courses?

No matter what happens STAY AWAY from Go~ducking~Daddy. the worst service provider ever. Bluehost, Google Domain are way better options.

"Money Website" is your main website, the website you are trying to rank in Google. Contrary to the quoted post, cheap reliable hosting is fine for new websites/blogs. There are many reliable providers who offer regular promotions where you can get quality hosting for cheap. When your site starts to grow then it would be best to look for better hosting and possibly VPS hosting for more resources.

Well, maybe you should tell us why then? I've heard before that if you got a domain without private reg then you'll got tons of cold callers and emails.
Didn't heard more, maybe I didn't delve into too much.

Godaddy is the worst company I have had to deal with. You don't need me to tell you why..just google GoDaddy review and you will see why. They are a rip-off, all hidden fees occur later, and they made our lives miserable when we tried to switch to Google Domain. Worst and most cheap company ever. It is close to scam.

Im curious where I can consistently buy domains for less then $5 if anyone knows ? $5 USD that is.

Do not use Blue Host unless you want a crappy EIG company. IMHO you get what you pay for, cant expect much paying super cheap prices.

Namecheap Professional Shared Plan. $20 year and it allows you up to 10 domains to be hosted through it. A year into IM, you're gonna have a lot more than 1 domain lol.
