Does anyone believes what meuler says? Seriously. We know aged domain rank batter with lots of buts and ifs, ofcourse.
Heres another one, recently meuler said don't use gsc url inspection tool to index let your posts index by themself. Hahaha. Don't listen to him.

Well, I'm confident that aged domains rank better than new ones. While certain factors can influence their ranking,
it seems like this mueller guy might be seeking his two minutes of fame with inaccurate information.
 
Yeah, but that's the same guy that said that Wikipedia links don't matter since they're NF.

Domain age is a ranking factor, but much less today than years ago. Overall, only content matters.
 
Domain age ALONE is likely not a factor.

Everyone including the people answering and asking the original question probably aren't taking into account that having an aged domain with reasonable content likely means you're going to pick up backlinks compared to a site which is 1 month old.

So although domain age isn't a factor, based on this, it probably is.
 
I would LOVE for there to be at least one Google employee whose SEO-related statements we can take as solid fact. But there isn't a single one of them that doesn't either FUD or deflect questions. TBH you can't blame them. As we've seen with their heavily-edited Gemini demo videos, Google tends to project what they actually want to achieve, but haven't gotten close to yet.
 
I think it makes it easier for an aged site to be trusted, rather than really being a ranking factor.

Google Search media people sometimes spout incorrect stuff. However, there might be truth there especially with the recent updates.
 
How important is then domain age as a factor? Can you someone quantify it and put to relation of other onpage and offpage factors?
 
Domain age by itself is not a ranking factor but it is more likely to be associated with a high ranking website for it to last so long and less likely to be spam
