I just registered Deluxe Package at godaddy.com for $4.49/mo. It said :
  • unlimited website
  • unlimited bandwidth
  • unlimited storage
But after check their cPanel, there is a limitation on file usage. It have 250.000 files usage limit, and I found that standard wordpress installation take about 3.000 files there. I think it will getting full soon :p

Any recomendation for hosting that have "real" unlimited?

Real unlimited? Try 1and1 they'll give you REAL unlimited SHIT and unwanted crap

I work with go daddy long time now.. and I have this package, I don't know what are the numbers you rolling but I can tell you I have about 15 wordpress sites on one hosting account so I don't think you have nothing to worry about..
Also if you have any problem give them a call and ask, they have one of the best technical support techs I talked to (without paying extra)

hope it helps you

Once you install WP, you will barely need anymore files... all your content will be stored in a database so only a few extra files for plugins, themes and such.

it depends, GoDaddy is horribly slow with wordpress for whatever reason.

Don't worry you still got plenty of space to run website, in fact you can run few more blogs over there.

Now question is unlimited do you think any one can provide unlimited in $4.49 or even for $1000 or $10000... If that would have case Google or facebook will start hosting their website over there... LOL Check for fair use policy... Nothing is free or unlimited...

About Godaddy they are terrible host, One of my friend got this one and he is always facing problem... Finally he is moving to new host... Check BST section or find some good provider... Godaddy are good for domain name not hosting so look for some company which got name in hosting niche... There are good number of deals online, recently I bought 2 years hosting plus 1 domain for less then $50... I am running few sites over there and it's good... You can find good deals if you search forum or internet.

There are no real unlimited hosting. How a hosting provider can give you unlimited resources if he will never get unlimited resources as well from the data center.

If you want to talk about misleading... check out BlueHost.
"30 day money back guarantee". What a load of shit. If you take the 'free' domain they give you with a hosting package, they charge you something like $18 for that, then refund you the balance. Totally misleading and deceptive, especially when you look at the wording on their sales pages.

Godaddy do have file count limits, but they're certainly not unreasonable.

FWIW, you're well served by getting a reseller account through someone here on BHW that has a reputation to keep - then, you've got all the hosting you need, and the service to back it up :)

I now dislike 'big' companies.

Godaddy is quite expensive. I also took hosting two years back from them. But after one year on next renewal I shifted it to other server.

yeah that's why switch to other hosting company. but still some of my sites are hosted to godaddy waiting to expire.

i've had one bad experience with godaddy when it comes to how they manage expired domains, so i've stayed away from all of their services since then.

I've been with Bluehost for a while now but I'm planning to move away to another host that doesn't use the word 'unlimited' in reference to storage and bandwidth.

I don't know why every always talks bad of Godaddy. In my experience they have been nothing but great. Their support is the best out of any hosting company, you can get in contact with a godaddy employee in like 10 minutes using the live chat feature. They've always answered my questions and fixed my problems. I host many pbns on godaddy. They have that coupon where you can get 1 domain and hosting for literally $12 for the first year. Godaddy is perfect for PBN's in my opinon. I haven't tried there dedi servers yet tho. I mix hosting up for my pbns, but I have about 3 at godaddy. Definitely worth it. I would like to see some valid reasons on why they aren't good?

GoDaddy is fine for customers, and I haven't had a problem. For the most part you get what you paid for. I don't like their expired domain process either. But hosting, I haven't had an issue.
