Anyone have experience in hijacking on amazon?

Hey guys, I tried doing private label amazon FBA, and it was a loss for me I lost total a total of $2k, and I want to get as much of that back as possible. I have 3 different products. I was told I could hijack a person selling a similar product, and I could sell out in no time. They are currently selling ~300 a month and I have 87. Undercutting them would make me back about $1k. I was wondering if anyone has experience hijacking, and any tips that I could use to make money back and not get sued.

Im sorry to here about that. Can I ask what went wrong?

Just picked quality private label products with good margins, and sunk a lot of money into PPC without getting many conversions, and actually unsure why it didnt work. I guess I didnt know what I was doing enough. New to ecommerce/business in general.
