Hello,
Just wondering if anyone here submits their site to Yandex Webmaster, and getting traffic from it?

Is it worth trying if you're not targeting Russian users specifically?

Yesterday, I tried verifying my site on Yandex (both meta tag and HTML file methods), but it keeps saying Rights haven’t been verified / Page is unavailable.

Not sure what I’m doing wrong there, so if anyone’s dealt with that too, I’d appreciate any tips.

Thanks!

Yandex indexes my site automatically and brings traffic, but not regularly.

my site is 8 months old and not even a single link showing up on yandex.

I’m getting traffic from Yandex, but most searches seem to be in Russian. It seems like Yandex favors Russian content.

Yandex usually brings noticeable traffic only if your content targets Russian or nearby regions. The verification issue often happens if your site blocks YandexBot or uses Cloudflare rules. Try whitelisting their crawler IPs and re verifying after clearing cache.

Yes, Yandex traffic is absolutely worth pursuing for diversification; its algorithm is often less aggressive than Google's, and the competition is generally lower outside of the CIS region.
The "Rights haven’t been verified" error is extremely common and usually indicates your server's firewall or CDN (Cloudflare) is blocking Yandexbot from accessing the HTML file or reading the meta tag. The easiest fix is to abandon HTML/Meta tag verification and switch to the DNS TXT record method, which bypasses server-side checks entirely.
