Anyone Else Seeing Strange SERP Results?

I'm checking Google SERP these days for several websites in the review/affiliation niche.
What I see is that the SERP is a total mess and results are not that relevant anymore.
For instance, many websites with very low DA and poor backlink profile are ranking top 5 for major KWs. The pages that are ranking often have very short content, poorly written, not very informative and despite that are ranking for a high number of KWs.
On the other hand, websites that are since years recognized to be the most trustworthy in the niche are all pushed back despite having high quality content, excellent DA and BL profile. Despite that they keep on loosing ranking and KWs.
Is anone else noticing that? Did Google mess up something after last update?

DA doesn't mean a shit. They most likely have strong/big PBNs.

Dont know about others, but one of my adult sites see major changes this week. Really confused right now.

my site traffic also went down, I don't know what Google is planning

However some of these websites have a total of 100/200 backlinks from 10/20 domains. Not sure that can be considered strong or big PNB.

If they're using a PBN properly you won't be able to see that they're using it.

1. Google shuffle results every now and then.nothing big deal
2. DA alone isnt a rankign factor
3. welcome to the world of seo where nothing make sense now

I agree seoz87, this has become even more apparent during last couple of months.
Any suggestion on what "non sense" may work best now?

strong guest posts and edu/gov backlinks

I noticed that too. They all can't be using PBN. Some of these small websites are not even monetized properly. And yet they're showing up for some good keywords.
