Rules have been changing since 2008, when it was a No Flaming rule prior to that, now even economic threads which have no relationship to politics and current events are being labeled as political.

If Links to pirated materials weren't allowed on BHW, I wouldn't give a fuck. It makes no sense for a BH forum to worry about certain topics which aren't an issue, yet at the same time allow content that could cause legal issues. 2 threads about using pirated themes were even stickied .

It's PEOPLE that fuck up these topics, not the mods. Do you see how fast those threads went down the toilet? None of those events were political, but people made them political.
People get angry about politics and religion. They get violently angry. Even on the internet. Especially on the internet. That's why they're not allowed to be discussed here.
Once a thread turns political, the mods have no choice but to lock it down. Chaos ensues, feelings get hurt and no one can be adult about it. It's better off not being talked about.

I don't get how things go down the toilet so fast, its not hard to talk current events without being emotional+political. It would be nice if BHW was a one stop place, where you can get current events+business news, get alot of tech information,practice debating things etc. in addition to learning seo and getting services.

Just because you're reasonable and respectable about those topics (as am I) doesn't mean everyone else is.
It'd be nice if BHW let me sell my dirty panties in a BST. That's not about to happen. Just accept the forum as it is. It's a pretty chill place, all things considered.
I actually like that you can't talk about religion and politics on this board. I see that shit every time I watch/read about the news. I don't want to see it here too.
And if you look at any article online reporting on current events, you will always, ALWAYS see people putting their political/religious feelings in the comments. I just read an article about cockroaches as a pizza topping in a country that won't be named. Needless to say, the comments for that article turned racist super quick. And after it turned racist, it turned political. Somehow a pizza topping is responsible for extremists killing people, which is why they shouldn't be allowed in certain countries.
See where this is going?
It helps make the mods job easier and makes this place a lot more enjoyable if they just banned certain topics altogether. There's enough shitstorms on here when people ask for methods to make $1 a day online. Do we really need more?

I only know about it because I had to write a 2000 word article about it for a client of mine. I was wigging out the entire time. It was one of the reasons I changed my business model and got super picky about my clients.

Pets to me are good if you have time for them. They are also living creatures and do need some care for them to live well. If you lack time for them, then they may develop complications or end up eating weird foods. I have some dogs around and to me they are good because we relate very well. I however do not like some pets such as a cat.
