I'm thinking of moving from SiteGround over to WiredTree (SSD 2000) because it's a cheaper and I felt they acted unprofessional. Anyone have thoughts on WiredTree? I have mainly Wordpress blogs with 25k visits/day with North America traffic.

Wiredtree has a good reputation/review on Webhostingtalk, so I think it's worth a try :)

How is wiredtree cheaper than SG? In the end It's still down to how much is the traffic worth.

As an alternative, can try considering tunevps.com dedicated servers. Check their twitter account: twitter.com/tunevps
They certainly have built the company with a customer focused attitude and we couldn't be more pleased.

I have worked with WiredTree in the past. They are great. You will not find a managed VPS with a greater dedication to customer service or such a friendly and helpful support staff.

If you are looking for cheap and good customer service then I'll recommend you to try offshore seo vps. They have great uptime and great support. They even have chat support as well.

i tried wiredtree like 4-5years ago when their plans wasnt that good and was quite expensive.. but.. it handled 80-120k/visitors per day with ease on their cheapest plan, and their support/speed was also very good, just not the price...
I would however recommend hawkhost shared where they allocate you 1full cpu/ 1gb ram on their cheapest shared hosting, and I have had a websites with 40k uniques a day on it with like 200k pageviews per day, you can't go over your limit and i think I pay like $25/year for 10gb ssd space and unlimited everything else, and I'm sometimes pushing like 4-6tb of data transfer per month, haven't had any complaints that Im using too much resources. I would choose a good vps/shared hosting with cpanel any day over a dedicated server because I don't have to manage it myself!

btw hakwhost has also semi-dedicated plan with 2cpu cores/2gb ram specially for you for like $13/month with coupons to which you can switch if that shared hosting isn't enough.
I would choose the hawkhost over the wiredtree any day because I think the wiredtree are full of themselves and charge an unnecessary premium price, when you can get the same specs at hawkhost for 3.5x less price and the speeds are the same!

I'm comparing VPS/Cloud hosting. Need it in case things go viral

I'll have a look, thanks!

Excellent to hear, thanks!

I have mostly North American traffic. Wondering if offshore would affect page speed but I do like the additional privacy that might be offered. Thanks!

Ok thanks for the recommendation! I'll check out hawkhost and see what they got

I use wiredtree for many of my most important money sites. For managed hosting services, they are one of the very best.

I am using their SSD-VPS 4000 plan and hosting several low traffic WordPress sites. I don't think they are the cheapest but I am sure their support is superior. I got them optimize my server with MariaDB and my sites are fast loading without any cache plugin installed.
You can't go wrong with them.
Another great provider with superior support is KnownHost. I am using them both. You won't go anywhere else if you're with them.

I second hawkhost. I was surprised they are as fast if not faster than my optimized DO vps on the cheapest plan. I guess it depends on where the server is to my ip. Maybe the peer was better but the wp admin is just slightly faster with the same setup.
