True but still living in Central Europe is so much cheaper. And when someone is working in IM, can move from one country to another more easily that person with a traditional job. So if something goes wrong you can always sell your house/flat (if you decide to buy it of course) and go somewhere else.

It is not so bad. Yes, we have to wait sometimes years for surgery if it is not a dead or live issue but really not so bed. He can always buy extra insurance (starts from $25 per month) which will cover most common health issues and buy an extra monthly subscription in private clinic (for $25 per month) and he will have quicker access to many medical services. And we still have lots of excellent doctors!

And this is the most important thing. This is a huge pain in the ass in Poland, Hungary, Romania etc. That's why I wrote before about Chech Republic and Estonia. From what I heard these two countries are the most business-friendly form all Central-East Europe.

Ow I will be taking insurances for everything hahaha I've learned from past mistakes, I will take insurance for everything, health wise, house wise, for my animals etc.

Heating I am not so worried, I slept outside in winters when I was homeless, I will manage but it won't be that expensive as I would cleave my own wood all summer an hour a day or so, nice exercise

But those are all future plans, I will me travelling first, a week here, a week there and I will see what happens.

Make sure that were ever you go you realize that the prices of homes will be proportional to the income that you will be making, cheap houses usually indicate an area in which you will be making less income. Now this isn't always the case, but from my experience, moving to California, Arizona, North Carolina it has been that way. I had an 8 bedroom 2 story house on an acre in Arizona, and for the same price in California I had a 3 bedroom single story house. Best of luck to you though I hope that it works to your favor!

Oh and the last thing you will need to remember - I suggest collecting some money for your retirement in all Central Europe countries retirement pension is very low.

With rest you will be good, and as I said before you can always move somewhere else if you wouldn't like it.

Got no problem with that, once and if ever I get settled with land I will place a Yurt where I'll be sleeping in most of the time anyway simply because I can Maybe I will build my own house, many options, will see what the future brings but I am not all that focused on some modern house with all kind of features.

I like authentic, old school and fun.

Yes, that has been on my mind too and you can be sure as soon as I got the big bucks rolling in I will setup a retirement account only I don't trust the Dutch Government or the EU with it so will have to find a other way when I get to that point.

Oh and OP, I'm also Dutch. There are lots of things we've got; very good healthcare, very good education, very good social safety net and shitty weather
If I were ten years younger I'd probably travel and explore the world more than I did until now.
But having two kids now, I'd rather raise them in a wealthy country as The Netherlands.

I typed a long answer but it was too much politics so I will keep it short.

Yes we got those at a costly price but if you are realistic and look at what's going, the future among the people is not going to be nice.

You can already see it in Sweden, England, parts of France and Germany and for now only a few parts in our country but the problem will grow.

So looking at the globe, eastern europe attracts you most? Is it just the prices of houses etc or more? If you could make a top 3 for example what would it be? I know you're the analytic type, handy since I'm wondering the same as you in this topic.

To be honest I would probably prefer Asia as I have Asian roots, love the culture and good but it's hard to become legal and own land.
East Europe has nice nature, is compared to our country cheap and as long they are part of the EU easy to own land.

Top 3 for what I find important?
Demographic
Cheap infrastructure
Nature

I did hear (got a gf from hongkong) houses in China are insanely expensive, of course I guess the salaries are higher.

Maybe you would have an advantage if you have visible Asian roots?

thanks. was really interesting that like EVERY country on the wolrd was mentioned, except all africa, france and germany I guess...

health systme is kind of good here. living costs except 1million+ cities are kind of .eu average and you can study for free, even for international students. its just a C level in germany and like 10k on some deposit account.
well, there is like no "self employed" or entrepreneur spirit here, but you can get around that somehow.

Both countries with very nice nature. Back in the 90's I went to Austria every year in the winter to go snowboarding but cost of living is probably as high these day and they have come too liberal for my taste.

Switzerland I only passed through but I do know cost of living is very high but read they have excellent infrastructure and tight policy but becoming legal doesn't seem to be very easy as they are not part of the EU.

The continent Africa, it has really beautiful natura, wild life but yet I never felt any connection to it or wanting to go there. I speak to all kinds of Africans in my country and in their roots they are really friendly people but I don't know man. When I go to a country I don't want to go only to the tourist spots, I want to go inlands and for some reason I don't feel like that in Africa that is a good idea.

Many countries have messed up Africa in the past so I can imagine a lot of them are not all too friendly towards westerners.

I would not recommend anyone to move here because I really can't see any bright future in this country, but only time can tell

We have nice nature, and I live on the country side away from people close to forest and lakes. So I'm not in any rush leaving right now, but there is alot of great info in this tread for future relocation plans
