I remember you giving me one of them! In fact I don't dislike that. If something right something's right if not then not. I myself as a newbie (kinda) here have a great use for seeing users like you reply on journey's that it's unrealistic. You have to understand, for someone with a little less experience on these fields ( you being here for years have seen close to everything ) it's hard to judge whether something is realistic or not. Some journey's give you the desire to follow their actions, leading to a huge time-waste if your not prevented.

I haven't been here for years, not even a year but have been active a lot to annoyance of some hahaha and I am not even successful yet but I know I will got experience in a lot of things and calculate everything, watching and learning and I've seen tons of people fail because they try to act to fast or think too simple but I got my own way of thinking and doing things 2017 is a lot of working, being broke due to investing but 2018 will be a good year and I hope to leave around 2019

I know there are a bunch of Dutch people here but only spoke to a few, I helped a bunch of them who were spending hundreds of dollars and zero ROI but from one day to the other I never heard of them again because they were stubborn so I assume they failed or gave up.

Anyway, that's enough of one on one off-topic chatting, the thread is about emigrating

Nice nature and architectuur but obviously the language will be a challenge as their alphabet is different. Now I lived in the States, France and stayed in Germany but those are languages I speak, going somewhere where you don't understand a word is kinda daunting.

But nothing has decided, I will travel a bit first and I might end up somewhere totally different.

The Czech republic has also peaked my interest for a while but haven't checked out taxes and costs yet.

That was my childhood hope. In general, i like Europe. Italy, Venice and their culture. I like their music, and most of my childhood heroes are from Europe. Same for my wife too. Both of us are online entrepreneurs. And we earn enough money to live in my country (new jersey and Sri Lanka) but not in Europe. Plus I like Dutch law.

Like many said it's huge difference between visiting and living. I have no plan to live their permanantly (even i wanted it's unable to do) But i have loads of load unforgetable memories with NL and france france bordeaux.

Couple of weeks ago i was in koh samet (thailand's island ) and met some spain and german (munich) guys and we had a very nice time with them. I belive (not only me my family lol) europe people are so lovable and honest.

I simply don't like where i live. NJ is too busy and SL is loosing humanity.

As far as i know and so far cheapest country i have visited is thailand. Yes it's cheaper than even sri lanka ( where i born ).

As an expat I lived/worked/had an IM company in several central/eastern Europe, my roots are from this part of Europe, I'm fucking open mind, learnt a bit of language each time I lived in a foreign country. It can be really nice to live there, these countries are family friendly and secure (If you think you're racist, just start to speak about migrants with anyone their, you'll think you're the present reincarnation of buddha), but:
1) Your spending power will fade really quickly, more the time passes, more the prices are raising, it already started with CZ/SK. Food is as expensive as western, even hotels, cars, etc. The only thing cheaper are services.
2) You want healthcare? Sit tight and enjoy the show how private clinics will start to suck the money out of your bank account.
3) You have an heart attach/any emergency/an accident, I'll can assure you that you'll think that your time on earth is over because 1) very few people really understand english 2) Public hospitals are beyond the limit of imaginable fear 3) Good doctors/nurses/etc already left for western, only remain the shittiest.
4) No matter how bad you'll speak or being integrated, you'll remain the fucking rich expat, I could speak for hours how many times people tried to scam me because I was "an expat".
5) You'll enjoy to deal with administration, the odd to find an english speaker is 0 or sub-0. And If you have IM earnings, you'll need to have your own company/sole trader, have an accountant, etc. Then to deal with tax investigation (I can assure you that you will be under investigation).

But, at the end, people who will be your friend, it will be until death, no matter what they'll be there.

Stop dreaming that you'll come and live like a king. with 2k/month, you'll struggle, because you'll never live as a local who earns the minimal/average. You'll want a good place to live, eat good food, to have a good health care, good etc.

What's really matter is the happiness the country will bring you, not to find the best country in term of hypothetical spending power.

I would have to disagree with you on a couple things. I have been talking to a lot of people the past couple days from my own country that live across several Eastern countries and it isn't as dark as you describe it plus many have been there for years and can help me out with all kinds of things, I already laid down the foundations on several places on the internet.

1. It will never even come close to my country, you know what you can buy for 85k in my city? A garagebox to park you car in. Several friends of mine went on vacation to the Ukraine and Romania, food also, it doesn't even come close to ours. For 3-5 euro they bought a complete diner with food and drinks, you know what you get for 3 euro's over here? Not even 2 beers.

Hotels are always expensive anywhere on the planet as mostly tourists stay there.

2. I have to slightly agree with that, our health care is one of the best in the world however, we pay 1440 euro a year for insurance and that covers nothings, only doctor visits, if you need meds or shit you can pay an extra 385euro a year.

Plus it's not like everyone and always need to check into a private clinic plus I will have dual citizenship or if I'm in EU and keep my Dutch citizenship and I'm real focked I take a trip to my own country, if I get a heart attack, well, doesn't matter where you are, if it's your time to die you go anyways.

3: There are fewer sure BUT not all of them are gone, pretty much all jobs are taken here, very hard to find a job plus of the current status of how the west is going more and more people are going back.

On the upside there are very good dental clinics in for example Romania where westerns are settled and it' almost 60% cheaper than here.

Porcelain facing, 550 per tooth over here, 200 over there.

4: Couldn't care less, once they met me, believe me, they will know not to fuck with me but I don't worry about that too much, been all over this globe, I am street smart, a hustler so believe me, I won't get hustled, doesn't matter which language they speak, I speak an international language

5: I don't have to deal with shit, I will hire a Dutch bookkeeper that knows the language and laws and if I need to be present anywhere I will contact one of the people of my own country that are living nearby. or I might even hire some chick that is fluent in English.

I'm already a King! And when I own a house, 2k is more than enough to live off it, people are getting by with 500-800 euro, you want to tell me while owning a house I can't make it with 2k? I lived off nothing here in the west and survived so 2k in a country on that side of the globe is easy for me.

Besides, those 2k is just passive, once I build up a bit of a stack and I invest in launch jacking among other things I could very easily earn that a week but as I've said I'm not completely focused on making as much money as possible.

Also met a guy today that is from my country but he is in real estate in several countries in East Europe and as it looks now he will teach me a bit about real estate and I'll teach him a bit about marketing.

Maybe I will buy a couple 1 bedroom apartments and drop them in airbnb for a little automated passive income

Nevertheless your advice is very appreciated and average people should definitely listen very carefully to it but I'am not average, far from it, I come calculated. For every choice I make I look at the several downfalls and their solutions and plan ahead, networking all over this globe, trading info, sharing experiences.

But you are right about one thing, it's about where I feel happiest and for me that is partially depending on the country and partially costs but even though I hate it here, I'm Dutch so I will always look at the infrastructure, it's in our nature.

Yeah, that part of me has be gone for a long time thanks to all the alcohol & drugs but I am currently detoxing, working out again, eating healthy and my mind is getting sharper again.

If you want to achieve something you need to visualize it, speak it and act it. I never believed that shite but it works.

Believe me, I've looked for hours and tried all the shortcuts and easy money methods, for the long term with a clear conscience there are none.

You should not even put any thoughts and energy in these kinds of shit. Focus on IM, make a goal or several goals, learn how others do it by reading, testing shit out and start doing it and keep with it, keep visualizing it and don't give up!

Don't get me wrong. This is the reason why I like asking you things and talking to you. Honest, straight to the point, and informative.

About my GF, I don't think she would like it. Although I'm not sure what my future would look like with her. I'm not sure what my path would lead to, I either try to make something with IM (and try to get her off my back, yuck, she hates me learning without any benefits as long as I don't earn, you know the problem probably), but no one will stop me! I either try to make something and live off it with her in the future (probably saving 50%), or she leaves me one day and I've got a place with some money stacked, to start looking for new steps.

I'm done waiting around in Holland. I'm not saying I'm totally unhappy here, but I was born and raised here, if this relationship (the one that started out best of all) fails. I am done waiting around. If I happen to make any money, I want to see some things in the world, I would like enough money to enjoy some luxury though.

Or if I'm wealthy enough, go to some big city's. NYC, Dubay, whatever. IM is in my dreams. I dare to dream and if I happen to earn enough, I will totally go some places, meet some new people. Do some new things. Holland is what it is, not bad, but I'd like to look further! Hehe.

If these goals seem to be a bit overestimated, at least I want to make $300 or something per month so I can enjoy life a bit more.

Big explanation for a short question, anyhow, let's say I'm open minded about my future which is why I'm not sure whether she likes it or not. We will see when time comes.
