You tell me to respect something while calling me an asshole? That's nice. Keep in mind you're doing personal attacks. My vendetta is against an art form, not an individual. But I can attack an individual. Let's start with you.

You call me an asshole, then bleep out your next curse word.
Then you take to an acronymed approach which sincerely defines laziness. "WTH" and "GTFO"... really? You're, what, eight?

Talk about manners, take a look in the mirror Charles Manson. Do you like what you see? Respect the user or GTFO. I can dislike an art form and push my dislike into the public fora. You just act like a dick to other users. What does that say about you.

I don't watch garbage anime like naruto, dragonball z, one piece.. those are all kids anime shows and that's why I think people get the wrong impression about anime. Naruto and Bleach I like, though I agree with you one One Piece (bleh). I don't really have a lot of free time but the most recent ones I've watched and liked would be:

- Soul Eater
- Gurren Lagaan
- Eureka 7
- Cowboy Bepop (I watched on AdultSwim and thought was pretty good, I think they did a very good job dubbing that one.)
- Hellsing

He didn't call you an asshole because you're critizising anime. He called you an asshole because you behaved like one.
One thing is saying "I don't like this book, the writing style is too light and the story arc gets confusing at times" another completely different thing is entering a topic focused on a book and say "omg this book sucks, I want to throw up every time I see it, I can't understand how anyone with half a brain can read it".

Hey dude, I'm a huge anime nerd and I totally feel you on that. Evangelion has been my favorite anime for years, I get raged whenever someone brings up Naruto or Bleach. If I ask someone what kind of anime they watch and they say either one, I usually peace out and never bring up the subject again. I remember I went to my school's anime club once and say a bunch of kids imitating Naruto and never went again.

If you are a fan of Evangelion you should definately check out RahXephon (which you probably already have) and Higurashi (which you probably haven't). Princess Mononoke is also actually amazing despite being aimed for a younger crowd. THEM anime 4.0 already has a pretty good review site I like to check sometimes and donate to.

But yeah, I always blame Naruto for creating the stigma that anime is childish.

Actually I haven't seen either! Damn you have some great insight though, will have to check out what you recommend. Oh and have you heard about evangelion rebuild?? Remaking the series and it's being released in theaters in Japan then on blue-ray. 1st of 4 parts is up on Pirate bay.
