LOL, dead 5 minutes and godaddy makes a killing.

Theres no way to tell how much they are worth at the moment - heres why.
1. Todays news - shes dead.
2. Build your site, build some backlinks etc.
3. Shes dead - old news.
how many people will continue to search?
how will you profit from her death?

If you were to create a landing page with some information about her death i'd bet you could flip it for a nice enough profit?

otherwise I'd wait for someone with a little more knowledge on death domains :D

Easiest way to make one of these types of sites is make a memorial site where users can post messages. Just use facebook's comment plugin, boom, site done in 2 minutes. Great viral potential to because its facebook

She had cool songs and only thing you thought was to register domains, I really don't like it.
I hated her style of life, that she was with that idiot who gave her alcohol and drugs but she was true artist and joined 27 death club like Cobain etc, I am sad

It's not disrespectful, it's just a part of the internet. Someone will do it, so it might as well be one of us. I'm pretty sure the OP means no harm, and is just seeing it as an opportunity

Yes, it is very sad that Amy (or anyone) has passed away, but nobody means any harm by doing this kind of thing. Think about it this way: the reason the OP is doing it is because there will be millions of searches in the next few days. So people are looking for this kind of thing

As domains, they worth nothing. Maybe if you had .com you could make $20-$30, nothing special.

How much money could be made off a celebrity's death if you have the domain already bought like 20 years before it happens? If you want a real gamble buy it before it happens and put max period on it.
 
I have got a wordpress.com url with a tribute picture for Amy Winehouse for fans to leave messages on. Underneath i have a Facebook group widget, and three Amazon items such as her two biographies and her back to black album.

I don't feel I'm making profit on her death, because:

A. Its up to the fans if they buy the stuff i'm advertising.

and

B. A chunk of the merchandise bought would go has royalties to the late Amy Winehouse estate.

Also i may decide to put any profits i make in to some drug related charity.
 
I didn't really care for amy winehouse, and I guess it was just a matter of time untill she would pass away.
But I would never be able to monetize someones death.

she was a drunk , an addict but a magical singer, but people in this world are dying for food, a home, a place to rest there bodies, this women had all the money she needed to have a good life she choose drugs she paid the ultimate price.

she is going where she wanted to be, 6 feet under.
 
If you're going to criticize someone for wanting to make money off the death of someone, go join the christian forums or something. Think of war, people MAKE money from death. Now, to the original poster: I think those domains are pretty worthless. By the time you'd rank ANYWHERE for those keywords, it wouldn't be worth it.
