Sorry guys i agree with the OP, we all need to make cash when we can lol, i remember when my brother died and we had the press outside my mothers house now they are vultures.

http://mitchwinehouse.blogspot.com/ I set this up this morning .

Wow thats harsh a person died, show some respect.

You don't think MTV is going to have Amy Winehouse tribute, Amy Winehouse marathon, Amy Winehouse retrospect, Amy Winehouse cryfest... and sell $$millions in advertising?

lol i'm new here and never thought people would profit from peoples death using domain names lol.

EXCUSE ME ??!!! no matter if i earn a million unique visits a second aND BE BOUGHT BY BILL GATES FOR 1 BILLION DOLLARS I WILL NOT MAKE A DOMAIN ON THIS IS CRUEL :naughty::omfg::bsflag:You won the war the b.s. flag is up again!! who would profit from this cruel idea

While many may feel that capitalizing on the misfortune of others is cruel or barbaric. You must remember that the media does this sort of thing all the time. As BreakAllTheClocks mentioned, MTV and other similar TV stations will take this opportunity to increase their viewership (and Ad Revenue) by running Amy Winehouse related shows for the next few months.

So because some else does it, its ok?

BUSINESS VERSUS ETHICS

Business - in the world of business, we all know it is cut throat. your business partners and everyone included in your inner circle of business is all out for one thing. MONEY. its not greed or selfishness, its just business. people screw over people all the time in the world of business so they can give their family a better life or live the life that they want. there is a very thin layer where business meets Ethics. these 2 words go well together like oil and water.

Ethics - if you are a ethical type of person and wants to make money then stick to the 9 to 5 and find a good ethical boss and climb the corporate ladder. one day you will be the boss hiring and firing people but ultimately you are still an employee. you dont have to deal with all the bullshiet that the business lifestyles bring. you are protected by your bosses and corporate owners that sue and got sued by other companies trying to feed THIER families . IF it was a world full of rainbows and flying unicorns then there will be no pain. people will not suicide over the wallstreet economic breakdown. people would not loose their lifes work over the ENRON Scandal.

amys product sales went from $5000 a week to over $100k ever since she had passed away. These big music companies are banging HUGE bucks on her CD sales . do you honestly think that the big guys that sit in their boardroom banking huge bucks on amys death are going to say ' aww i liked her, i wish she was still alive'.

Thats my rant on Business versus Ethics.

thanks i needed to get that off my chest.

I don't think it's worth much without a site. If you get people to start posting their thoughts it might be worth more.

Who gives a shit.. She died 2 days ago but the world can care less in a few days. Personally I think the domains aren't even worth anything special.

She is just another human being that died. Its nothing special :/

There is however pretty huge potential given alot of time and hard work to create your own conspiracy surrounding her death and thus drive people to these domains over the long term. The reason being is that her post morterm results were inconclusive (although toxicolgy reports may determine her cause of death, but could take up to a month) . Therefore, without a clear and DEFINITE cause of death (remember she's been cremeated now) there will always be a ton of conspiracy nuts out there if u want to drip feed them info from your domains. Other than that, RIP Amy, truly one of the greatest British talents of all time IMO.

So because some else does it, its ok?

Absolutely not. However, I do think that the op should not be ostracized for posting interest in this sort of method on a black hat orientated forum. Personally, I don't like the idea of monetizing on a persons death. Unfortunately, it's a well integrated piece in our society and won't be going away anytime soon.

My spin is much better than anything that I've heard. You buy a domain name guys are so myopic :)

You should sell them as fast as possible. Or they will be useless.

my take is If the only way for you to try and make money is to try and cash in on someone elses death then you are a poor human being in general.

For those that say "It dont matter, just another death" Tell that to her friends and family who may not want to type her name into google to be bombarded for years with "she's where she wanted to be" "it was expected" "it doesn't matter" and people trying to cash in on the fact their friend, daughter, lover is no longer here.

Business vs Ethics is BS. This is not a cut throat world of business. This is trying to get a few cents or dollars through an ad campaign.

You can try and gloss it over as much as you like by saying "others will do it anyway" or "I'm not cashing in as people are choosing to click my ads" all BS and you know it.

Sell an old phone you dont use on ebay, or the console that sits in the corner and you'll make more then some poor taste domain names. I'm glad you wasted the money on them.

I can't say that I feel sorry for you but...

You have just completely wasted some cash buying those.

amywinehouse.com for 200000 $ have seen in german tv news harhar :D

How many pages will you make in this regard, the death reason and story is very simple, Good luck in getting $xxx for each though or more.

How tragic. But... Facebook integration of course is a necessity, and so is time. Or fill them with fake traffic and flip them, today.

Fake news blogs could work, DL autopsy reports to CPA offer maybe. Each strategy targets a different group. Who do you want to reach. fast clickers and form fillers- CPA

people who read and care - FB, blog etc.

Remember also, there are other things you can do with a domain, such as email-

do a social media email scrape of all the winehouse fans (you can figure something out) and shoot them a subject line that insinuates a funeral or wake invite (this is a sick idea, and you need to "sell" the domains to an alias first) that actually invites them to an "online wake" FB fan page.

You can also simply do a tribute attendence giveaway with your own email submit the same way, etc.. etc..

As everyone should have respect for the dead, make sure that even if the technique is sleazy, the tone is somber or in celebration of life, as the clickers will probably reflect the same views of those that posted here.

And just because I know controversy make the Internet go round- To all of you who complained so adamantly, go after those who advertise with Xmas themes in any way. As if no one has ever profited off the death of another (or supposed death by some accounts).
