Looking to get into Amazon Associates combined with social media. I have two questions if someone wouldn't mind helping me out :)

So I can use my UK associates account to link to content on Amazon.com? (Will I get my commission?)

    And

Could I make a US account as I live in the uk? (Or is there is a way around this as I think I want to market products on the .com site!)

    Thanks!:D

From what I understand you would need to sign up with Amazon.com if you are wanting to sell through Amazon in the States. You wouldn't be able to use your amazon.co.uk details with them.

You'd then only be able to get paid via cheque, which takes a fair amount of time to arrive in the post, and there would then be a charge to cash it here in the UK.

You can set up accounts for all of the different Amazons no matter where you live. Just be sure you understand all their payment options before going too far with it. If you are using wordpress you can use the Amazon link localizer plugin which will change your links based on your visitor's IP so if you get a UK visitor your site will send them to Amazon.co.uk and if you get a US visitor your site will send them to Amazon.com.
