Amazon Success - $300 Day Yesterday

Other people want to get in on Amazon it seems

http://www.blackhatworld.com/blackhat-seo/joint-ventures/463771-amazon-joint-venture.html

I have asked for a Demo Site and would just do one site with the guy and see how it goes.

If you can't make yourself a good site - or just are bad at organization - then maybe something like that
would be a way for you to get started.

Please keep in mind I don't know this guy at all - so I am most likely risking $100 just like anyone else
would.

An update on my progress with one of my new sites, placed first review on the site 20th June.

Added 1 review every day since then, it has had 8 sales now making me $13.64 (don't laugh) it's only a month old site in total.

Up to now the sales have been for accessories for the main products which is what has kept my commision low.

Hopefully the sales for the $500-$1000 items will kick in soon and i will see a good increase in my commision.

Update :

1. Looked at the Demo Site I was PM'd for the JV - I thought it was good - nothing extra special which is what I was hoping for - 50/50 whether I do it or not.

2. Someone else Pm'd me their sites and asked why they don't sell. They looked horrible and not well thought out or executed ..... again you really need a premium theme with Sliders and Products / Articles and a few reviews. Simply putting one article on a base WP install is not going to get you very far.

Fernando - that's what I would expect for Month 1 and 2 - selling mainly accessories and from Month 2-3 start getting some main product sales .. I hate it as well but you need those to raise your buying % payment up to the 7 - 7.5 - 8 % level .... but I hope your learning something and see some light at the end of the tunnel.

Cheers for now.

Get started - no reason to not make one site today - and learn from it - and make 9 more if it makes some money.

You can't make money if you don't have any Sites.

All the best.

If your having trouble with Keywords or Choosing a Domain then take a look at this thread from another BHW member

http://www.blackhatworld.com/blackh...eywords-available-aged-emds-starting-4-a.html

So lets look at it

1. Hosting Hostgator about $7 a month 2. Domain Name $5 with coupon code (maybe less at Godaddy $1.12) 3. Free Premium Theme from BHW 4. Buy Keywords $9 5. Worst Case Buy Content $10 ......... your looking at an investment maximum of $24 plus $7 a month

obviously cheaper if you do it yourself .... sure it takes a little while to get going but this will be long term income... hope more people jump on board while there's time for XMAS shopping.

Hi Danny,

I seen you mentioned in post 58 some of the buy buttons you use, click here, add to cart etc.

I'm not sure if this is something you keep track of, but do you have any data or just an intuition of what converted best? As your targeting high end items normally, I would have thought that the higher priced items, sold better when the user clicked through to Amazon?

I just assume this due to the high trust that users apply to Amazon, has this been your experience? Thanks for the keeping the thread updated too, great reference material.

I have 2 main websites that sell really high end stuff - those have buy from amazon type buttons I made myself

the other former autoblogs had various buttons because I was trying to avoid a footprint type situation where everything was the same.

So I can't really determine which type of button - sells best --- because products go hot and cold on their own.

For example when a storm comes certain items are in demand - when dr oz talks weight loss - weight loss is in demand
when a celebrity wears something -- then its in demand

I notice these type of trends alot more - than the individual buttons.

Good Luck.

Also I wanted to point out - this thread is more a Seo Strategy to Amazon - Quality Websites - Articles - Reviews -- something more Long Term Income in Nature.

There is another thread on BHW about how a guy sells to people in his Facebook Group - and makes 8k a month ... so if this thread bores you - and you want something faster - then search that one out.

I will keep this thread alive till someone makes $200 a month from this type of strategy - after that they can make their own thread and I will just follow their journey to Amazon $$$$.$$

Thanks for creating this thread, i am constantly following your guide, so far am still stock on what emd to use. But God willing, before xmas window, i would have built 5 amazon sites. Between i bookmarked this page and check it whenever you or other member update it.

don't stress so much on EMD's and having the perfect one -- find yourself something that is decent and just add more content than you would on something with a better name.

Sales is the name of the game here - and when your starting not everything is going to be 100% perfect but you will learn quickly. Also look at what keywords people are using to get to your site - and use that knowledge in selecting stuff for your next site.

Try something like www.gosquared.com so you can get real time traffic updates and see where people are coming from. Good Luck with it.

Great thread Danny1111

Danny1111:
Is the only goal of an Amazon affiliate site to get them to click an Amazon link no matter what? Do you make every image on the website link to Amazon? What about other sneaky methods such as making a category button link to Amazon?

Have you tried plugins that add a product directly to a person's cart? Amazon cart cookies are 90 days I think.

Thanks

Well Clicking is important - but more important is they are actually a buyer in 24 hours

Images link to Amazon ... don't do anything really sneaky - trying to provide enough information to rank in search
and get a sale.

I have 3 sites that do that and am getting some more at the moment.

Don't be limited by what I do - if you have an idea you think works better - then give it a go - just stay within the rules though - as Amazon is here to stay right now - so don't risk getting banned over a few dollars think Longer Term.

Yesterday sold 24 things for like $40 in commissions - stupid accessory type products which always makes for the lowest paying days.

Also am developing 10 Magento Sites - started yesterday

Wordpress wise - getting rid of some crap sites - and focusing more on the couple of higher priced item sites I have.

Received a couple of nice Pm's from people following the thread - Thanks for those.

This is tough work initially and it does take time / effort but your building something that will last especially if you focus
on good content to match up with the products your selling.

Again I encourage people to post their success / their frustrations and anything else you want to share about Amazon. There is a fair
bit of information and links to things in this thread - so if you start on this post take some time to skim back through older posts.

Good Luck everyone and just don't give up.

If your Seo is getting a little boring and your not using Doc Share Sites then perhaps you should take a look.

I use Doc Marketing Robot it submits to 10 Sites - I create a PDF with an Image and Link to my Site // article // 2 links at the bottom to my Site .... there are other of these tools you can get just search around a little.

These tools cost around $50 - so maybe offer the service to a client or use it for a Fiverr Gig and get your money that way - while your Site Seo gets going... and your Amazon commissions start coming in.

I was making about $500-$600 a month with Amazon UK but when Penguin hit all my sites dropped out of the SERPS and now I make 10% of what I did. Sooooo frustrating :(

PS - All my sites had at least 15 articles of UNIQUE content and was really looking forward to building more to amp up my profits but it seems so hard to SEO a site now (paid for a premium service in BST thread and the new site I was targetting DIDNT EVEN GET INDEXED!)

EDIT - Danny, I know you're a busy guy but any chance I coudl PM you one or two of my URLs that got hit so that you can tell me if there is any chance of recovering them?
