Fernando - seems like you had a really good idea of how to drive your project forward the first time - so hopefully after lessons learned - Take 2 proves to be even better .. best of luck.

Yea, but i can't really say lesson learned because i really don't know what google dislikes about my pages.

Have reduced keyword density on these new sites and reduced amazon links out see how they go.

Will finish re- writing on the de -indexed site and submit it again fingers crossed next time.

Great thread Danny, please keep us updated on how you are doing.
I have a few established sites that bring in commission, not just from Amazon but others such as EPN etc. The frustrating thing is these are low cost items so my earnings are low.
I have now started 2 new sites so when they generates a few sales my percentage will go up and i can earn some decent money from Amazon.
I have a couple of questions.
Do you no follow all your affiliate links so it does not look like a huge affiliate site to Google?
How many long tail keywords do you normally go for on your average sites?
Backlinking is my weak point at the moment and am constantly learning, what are the best methods, what 3 things would you say are the most important to do when starting back-linking after a few months?
Do you think its a good or bad idea to have different affiliates for each website, not keeping all your eggs in one basket so to speak, or do you just stick with Amazon and that's it?
Thanks in advance.

+ no follow
+ as many long tail keywords as possible - keeping in mind I am converting auto-blogs to sites with more content - so some are capable of more than others ... also keep in mind I am playing around with some sites to see if they work better or not.
+ 1. google alerts to comment on High PR fresh content when possible 2. Web 2.0 network updated the best you can 3. UD / Magic Submitter or SeNuke

as far as getting killed by another update : sure that's possible but I am making diversity of back links as is possible - focused of high price items and sites that sell .. don't waste my time marketing low priced items.

I will probably start another thread soon for Content Locking aiming for $500 a month - doing the minimum amount of work possible .. but just want to get more done for Amazon first so its 2-3K steady especially with Xmas coming.

Pick any theme - buy some articles and reviews and make them original - get some images and have your own sites - you don't need mine.

Cheers

Started 3 pretty basic sites over the last 7-10 days - 5 simple reviews / images and the autoposter from a BHW member that we are testing - so see if it can sell or not.

I'm starting another site tonight. I haven't added links too my first two yet as I was just getting content indexed, mainly articles first. Sites really aren't ranking yet, but I'll keep adding content.

Biggest problems I'm having so far is keyword research and needing to tidy the sites up. I've noticed the bigger priced items I've looked into, Google have plastered their own and paid ads above the fold, pushing content sites well below the fold. I'll try and overcome this by trying to rank for lower keywords where these ads aren't as prevalent.

I'm using the free Traffic Travis for keyword research, sucks to be honest, but it's better than I can manage.

Sorry to here about that fernando, that must have been a nightmare too see that message.

Something to think about with Keyword Research.

It just happened I made an autoblog about something that became popular just recently .. so traffic shot up and obviously Sales - however it is really competitive- but regardless I get alot of traffic compared to other sites.

So while other better sites get less traffic - the one in really high competition still gets more .... point being sometimes despite something being competitive doesn't mean your shut out completely... there's still money in it.

Let us know how you get along.

hey i was just wondering if you run any plugins / scripts for geo targeting users, then sending them to either US/Europe etc affiliate links??

i was thinking about creating one but if there are plugins already available then no need.

I don't - obviously it would be a good idea in the long run.

Question: I am trying to find an amazon feed for a certain niche... but when I build the feed with that tag, it gives me a bunch of ebooks that feature that niche. For instance, if I'm looking for kitchen knives I don't get kitchen knives, I get a bunch of stuff referring to kitchen knives with a few knives mixed in.

Anyone have a hint on how to find the right feed formula to get only the cutlery?

Thanks Danny, this answers my question,Wish you wild success and best of lucks on your success !!!

Wp Zon Builder like Wp Robot - the more popular they get the more Google seems to be able to spot them.

That's why I am of the belief to use them in moderation and always use Unique Content and Modded Themes
with any site you make. I also only put a few on each IP - as my VPS comes with 8 IP's.

This is always a battle for us I guess and take whatever precautions you can - as you see fit .. nothing is 100% Safe
no matter what you do - as plenty of 100% unique content sites get hit in these updates as well.

Hey Danny...
I saw your other thread saying that

Yeah don't bother with fresh store builder .. It's junk.

I'm thinking of buy one but is it really bad?

Godang ... There is so much more you can do with a Wordpress Site than those sites .. I would say don't spend the money on them ... You obviously know that guy stole about $1200 from me as well ... So I pretty firm views on this subject.

Anyway that is my opinion .. Up to you whether to try them or not... Best of luck.

I also wanted to stress to those people developing their own Amazon Sites .. Please keep in mind that they take a little while to get going .. So don't feel like your doing something wrong or it's not working. .. Just keep at it until you make a few Sales and then see if there is something you can do better .. Then try to scale your project from there ... Amazon definitely is not the easiest thing to start with but well worth it over time.
