Amazon Success - $300 Day Yesterday

What SEO methods are you using these days? How big are your sites ( how many pages )?

I've written in quite a few Amazon threads encouraging people to put some time
into making sites monetized with Amazon Products.... for the simple reason that as long
as you are not defrauding them - your going to get paid and people like the Amazon Name.

Anyway I've built up a few Amazon Sites and had my first $300 day
yesterday .. so pretty happy about it - given it's a side job to my small Seo Business.

I just want to say that there is nothing special about my sites - standard WP Sites so it just
requires some work in choosing a niche/getting content and creating buying links on the site.

Traffic is all Seo so nothing special there either.

Typically these sites have been making $500-$800 a month - so this is definately not an everyday
commission level - but hopefully can keep building on yesterdays success and raise the bar to a higher
level.

BHW is a great resource - but you actually have to take action to make money.

All the best.

seo methods are in the thread

Sites vary from 7 pages to 100 pages - depends how they are built / how many products are in the niche and how much information there is available .... 2 inch nails is pretty limited but swimming pools has thousands of products and information to share with people.

I've been getting PM's about JV's .. I'm not interested.

1. you could just sell copies of my sites
2. you could sell my method / ideas on WF
3. your offering 50% of a proven method - that you do nothing for.
4. Amazon take 60 days to pay - I would have a hard time trusting someone I don't know with $3000-$4000.

The list goes on ... in the long run your better to try one site - figure out what works and then scale .. I think I have provided enough information for someone to make some money relatively risk free if you take some action.

Thanks for understanding on this.. cheers.

Had a Pm about how Amazon Products are displayed on the site.

Well it depends on what theme you choose - some have sliders and banners - some have a featured posts section / some have where you can review products on half the page and display posts on the other half -- some maybe more text based instead of picture based.

Keeping in mind that the whole idea is to generate clicks - I try to make the site visually appealing - so that people really do want to click something.

So you have to make the posts or pages or reviews appear organized like you know what your talking about. If you use an autoposter then you could have a fixed first page with your best products and information and just have the posts - posted behind .. or you can use something like Sticky Posts to fix certain posts to the front page.

Most autoposters use Amazon Images so if your doing it by hand - download image - upload image - create links in the post as text or buttons.

It's a pretty simple process - even if I didn't explain it the best way. Also we always use buying keywords for these sites - so when people come they want to see what they are looking for - otherwise they will just go to the next search result -- so a well organized site showing products / providing articles-buyers guides / or reviews to me is the best presentation.

Cheers

The perfect buyer to me is :

not someone searching for : Big Green Widgets
but is someone searching for : What is the Best Big Green Widget - Big Green Widget Reviews - Is The Big Green Widget Safe for Kids - How Long Does a Big Green Widget Last - Where is the Cheapest Place to Buy A Big Green Widget

in the first case chances are low the person will buy in 24 hours - while in the second seems like they are interested in the product - that they just need to be sold on buying it and have the confidence they are doing the right thing.

So the approaches are : use an autoposter on your site and hope that the person really wants to buy the product asap - or do something with slightly more quality that motivates the person to read your site click something and probably have a better longer term success rate.

There is no right or wrong though - it's up to you to put everything together according to your abilities and later as you get better / learn more .......... this whole thread probably makes a bit more sense.

Also a very important point is this : no matter how good you are - its going to take probably 2 months to find a decent amount of traffic and start making Sales -- this is long term income so just keep working at it and don't get discouraged if you don't make sales in the first few weeks .... this is pretty normal (and I think we already had someone post - this is exactly what they had experienced)

great info dany .. thanks

i have amazon on a view pages but never really pushed it or take to much care. so i just have around 100E every month.

but you are a good inspiration :).

my questions
can you tell me which WP plug ins do you use ?
it there any free or trail amazon autoposter? .. any chance to test your beta thing. dont like to pay as long i dont know if i can make it going.

thanks

Hi,

I am just wondering how do you go about keyword research as that's the one thing holding me back at the moment. Do you just go to top selling products and create a site around it because I have tried that but the competition on these products is way to high. Do you use any tools to help you?

Thanks!

Autoposters - I use Wp Robot but there are 3-4 on WF and I haven't used them but I think there are some free Wp Plugins in Wordpress if you search them.

The Beta thing is not mine it's a fellow BHW members - and we will just wait and see how it goes... I'm just a lowly tester.

Honestly I don't care about looking at Hot Sellers/Products initially - I picked things that I knew well and cost around $100 once I had figured out what was what - I moved into other niches ---- you definately need a variety of niches for year round commissions.

Also I mentioned this before - I pick one main keyword for long term targeting then a bunch of long tail stuff - to find more hard core buyers. Again this is how I like to do it - but it's not the only way -- if you got a better idea then try it - can't hurt.

Cheers

Congrats on your success!

May I know your conversion rate on Link-Type Report: "Basic Display - Detail Page"(the second row)? I'm sending traffic from social networks since google traffic is not as stable as it used to be. And my conversion rate is only at about 0.35% which sucks.

Great foundation you've built...keep it up! Stick with it and it'll exponentially be more per day

my conversion is 8-10% based on clicks over the long term - - shorter term some days can be 5-6% other days can be 25% -- but if you follow Amazon Stats for a while - you will see that it ebbs and flows - its not consistent in reporting.

if your spamming / using social networks then yeah that's going to happen -- less than 1% ... as your going to have bots and all sorts of crap going through.

cheers.

Thanks for your reply, mate!

I'm OK with less than 1% as long as there's sales, just don't know if amazon's OK with it. I heard some people got banned because of low conversion rate. And they would only tell you this right before you hit $100 so they can keep the money and you are screwed. I still don't know if I should stick with amazon, do you know any other good alternatives?

I'm not sure -- even CPA companies if they think your sending crap traffic are going to cut you off.

My advice through this thread is treat Amazon like a Long Term income earner -- so higher quality sites / decent content / reviews
and Seo for traffic ...... while your at the opposite side of things - so maybe look for a thread more suited to your needs or one with better answers for your question.

Cheers

Note : Amazon has announced it is trying to make next day delivery standard and same day delivery possible. Alot of companies have tried to make this happen but have failed - but obviously Amazon is in a much better place to make this happen.

The result could be that local retailers just get destroyed as their prices would just be so unreasonable that they just don't sell anything at all .... so I suggest the Amazon Brand name is going to get alot more valuable as this plan moves closer to reality.

Suggest start a site and join in - rather than wait and try to catch up later .. Cheers.

Nice Job Danny

So if your using EMD are u basically only promoting one product or so per site?

What type of backliniing have you done for these sites?

Thanks
