re-reading the thread - you can see as the sites make more money - I am already working on moving the project forward towards my goal.

more sites / better sites / more content -- more for the long term as with the autoposter type sites you just never know what Google is going to do.

Finally manned up and bought a domain yesterday and started site construction today. So far I've implemented 6 products and plan to do at least 100 more white hat style... Are you doing SEO for every single page on your sites? Or just the main homepage?

Also, would you recommend I first do my home page and do some SEO then launch the site as im slowly implementing more products? That way the age of my site is older by the time im finished and hopefully it speeds up getting ranked on that first page? Or would you recommend finishing the site completely before I launch it?

I have my own products. Is it wise to put them on Amazon and then make several websites around them? Will the buyers be more relaxed since im using amazon's platform?

I target home page / categories / content pages and products $500 + .. don't care about $20 products to be honest.

Launch site with 6 products and content - then add as you go - really you need to find out whether people will buy from your
site - theme and layout are important - when you have to sell in 24 hours.

If I was good at videos - I would make a Youtube Channel for every site and make videos for every $500 product and seo them .. make your site different to other peoples.

No idea - never tried my own products - really only focus on affiliate sales... can't help you there.

Definately think if you focus on good content to match your site starting out - you will make more money than me - Glad some people are getting a few sales it certainly makes it worthwhile -- but if you don't get sales - change your theme / layout - add more content -- or find a new niche. Not every site you make will be a success .. just don't give up.

Well done Danny on your $300 day, I have made a site from a product, and is ranking on the 4th page of Google. I was thinking, how many pages is a good amount per site? I have 5 pages, do I need more?

5 Pages is not enough in my opinion

in this modern time of Google - you should have 10-20 articles , a couple of reviews , a video or 2, then your products with text links or buy now buttons -- or in your reviews.

links from what ever sites in your niche you can get -- some sort of Web 2.0 set-up - then prob some .edu .gov links - then a facebook account and twitter account.

this would give you a better overall site than I have - given my sites started as autoblogs but are evolving beyond that to try to keep up with what Google is asking.

also keep in mind - I know quite abit about how my sites are set-up and evolving - and what I am doing to grow my business - but this is just one approach to Amazon -- if you have a different way of doing things then try that - it could be better than what I am doing.

a few people Pm'd me their sites to look at and I just want to say one thing that maybe will convey the point.

If your trying to make $1000 a month which means you gotta sell 300-600 items most likely - you can't expect a simple blogger blog to be able to generate that sort of income / traffic / response when people goto the site. You would probably need 500-1000 Blogspots to make that type of return.

Instead try a premium theme with Wordpress - that way 10-20 sites and you got a nice income and easier to manage / improve --- and you will make sales. Make Sliders - have Categories - Products / Reviews / Articles .. anyway I think you get the point.

So I've got about 9 products implemented now. I Wrote/spun a little description about each and have wrote a small article on my index page. Everything is uploaded and is now just a matter of adding more products and somehow getting ranked by google / driving traffic. Would you recommend blasting backlinks with digg? Or getting some services from fiverr to do this?

I don't know how old your site is -- but Digg / Jumptags all the larger type sites. Then make some longer term plan like a Link Pyramid - Twitter / Facebook / Youtube - just depends how much effort you want to put in - and how good the website looks.

So yeah add products - more content.

Lastly I would pick one harder keyword with a decent amount of traffic and rank for that - then just target longtails after that - trying to rank for 5 hard keywords takes too long -- and really at this point you want to know whether your site can sell - what your conversion rate would be.

You could also do some FB PPC - try to get a $50 coupon or something - and test your site out that way as an alternative.

In General - I would not trust Fiverr sellers to really care about your site - they would just be blasting -- so you could let them blast your structure but not your money site .. I use Fiverr just to see the list they are using - not so much for trying to rank for something.

As for PLR Reviews - look on WF - there are always people selling them.

This is $10 for example (reviews/articles etc)

Thank you. I will try and get some sort of link pyramid going. I got 15 UV today so far and I have no idea how. All I have done is submit a sitemap to google. I'm not even ranked yet (at least I dont think I am. Is there a tool for this or do I have to just manually check?)

Sound information Danny, I too when I started my Amazon quest didn't see a single sale until 2-3 months of consistently tweaking and monitoring, but I think most of us stress too much on the site creation process and trying to make this authority site to become successful. Everything in a nutshell boils down to the click and that zon cookie being placed on the visitor or "clicker" who then purchases something (anything) doesn't even have to be a product your promoting or it could be someone else who jumped on the same PC with the cookie planted and purchased something.

Which leads me to believe that it's all about the volume of traffic you have and people clicking to get that cookie dropped, I mean your site could be total BS and someone clicked something and BOOM, cookie planted, which then leads me to believe that focusing too much on site creation is what stifled my growth when in fact you could use the damn default WP theme and throw some products up and just get targeted traffic to click, once the cookie is planted, your work is done, if they purchase or anyone purchases something from amazon in 24 hrs you get your commission.

I mean I understand the need to have a decent looking site, it could drastically decrease your bounce rate, and have users clicking multiple products but the truth is you only need 1 click and 1 purchase for the visit to be successful. I sold alot of products that I had listed on my site but some of my multiple sales days were products not even affiliated to my niche which is attributed to the cookie. I'm tempted to stuff, but I think long term, the success I could get from stuffing would be short lived and not worth damaging my aff relations with Zon.

I know what your saying - but this thread is not about creating 200 sites of average quality - because you run the risk of Google banishment.

It's more a journey to $2000-$3000 a month of stable income - and to get that your better to focus on less sites and more quality. In addition focus on the content aspect as right now Google is so damn strict on that.

So yeah 6 months ago I see exactly where your coming from - but now personally think its different environment.

(also keeping in mind that I think by the time I'm done building - I'm going to have 75 sites total - 25 high quality non WP sites / and 50 mixed WP Sites)

Also I want to add - I am targeting $500+ products - so people buying that type of product are spending their money on sites they trust not on a base WP blog that looks like it was made yesterday. Anyway I wanted to put that out there as well -- and all comments / successes and failures are welcomed in this thread.
