however as I mentioned above - what I saw after being offline for 8 days was that mistakes came onto the sites - things weren't updated and no links were built -- and Google traffic dropped ..... so my conclusion to this was make sure that you schedule some activity for your site even if it's automated -- so Pinterest / Articles / Bookmarks -- and just keep adding articles/reviews/pictures to the sites to keep Google's interest because it does seem they have a very short attention span for sites at present.

I have to attend to client sites at the moment so I just don't know which is the faster way to grab the traffic back but I am going to let you know when I have set up a bunch of stuff and see what works best ... as I have plenty of sites to test different methods on -- and when I see results I can do the same across the board.

I don't work with Youtube everyday so I am not perhaps the expert you need for that

but it would seem you must be doing something wrong - because 2 weeks and no sales seems weird

maybe goto the Youtube section and discuss with them and see if they can spot something that can help you.

Having read and answered every PM sent to me - I just want to make one comment

Working with Amazon is not like working with a CPA company - with CPA to some extent you really
don't care so much about traffic -- you just want alot of it -- so you can cut some corners and make
alot of money with CPA

This thread is about developing a longer term income stream that comes every month - that can survive most
Google Updates and be diversified enough to be consistent -- so that involves a different mindset and approach.

Most people need to slow down - read all the Amazon threads on BHW - take notes - make a plan - then start taking
action with one site as a test and see how you do. Next tweak it to make the most Sales it can -- once you have it down
with one site - then scale it and diversify ...... this is going to take you 3 months to really get a hang of it --- > so this won't
be for everyone.

and get yourself a premium theme - with Sliders / Thumbnails and then the blog under that --- don't use simple sites
people will just leave -- with those type of themes its better for autoblogging -- but that is not what we are trying to do
here..... so get yourself something that looks nice.

Few PM's and questions - I don't have the time to write out a whole marketing plan for everyone LOL but here goes a few things

1. I will on Wednesday look through the template section and post links to some templates that are available free - for people to use .. as alot of people seem to struggle with this. (just I am really busy for the next 3 days)

2. was asked about the social site bots --- custombotsolutions dotcom -- the guy is a BHW member

3. yes I would take a quick look at your site if you PM it too me

4. example keywords off the top of my head knowing nothing about your knowledge or what sites you have

reliable portable generators / quiet portable generators --- chose these simply because of Hurricane Sandy and the fact people need generators.

then you would go find 5 generators that fit the description and have articles and reviews / pictures and links.

I would not suggest you actually run off and use those exact ones though as those would not generate sales every month - and you would have to double check combinations that have enough traffic .... but you see the overall gist -- you use things or ideas that people would search before buying something.

Another idea would be to make a Top 10 XMAS List of Hot Toys and Products for 2012 -- then share it via Social Networks

or make a Black Friday List and go post links to your sites in the shopping forums that people search -- or pay someone on Fiverr to post in FB Groups

there really are alot of things you could do at this time of year ......... but keep in mind my way of doing it is SEO traffic -- quality sites/good information and targeted traffic .... so how you choose to do it is up to you.

You can get these themes for free there - just find the individual threads and check the instructions --- BHW has a huge amount of resources but you got to be able to take action and try - before you can find success.

Play around with them - change them - mod them -- just make your sites be the best they can be.... too many times people PM me their sites and say why aren't they selling ?? 97/100 times it's because they are using base WP default template.

I can't answer that really - as I buy most things these days... and I have more sites than most - so any one article or review is not all that important to me.... I'm more looking at content on buying/review type terms to capture the traffic.

I apologize if this has been asked already but how big are your sites typically now? Many people seem to be taking the authority approach but some of the keywords you mentioned earlier don't seem to fit an "authority" style site (reliable portable generators where you choose 5 products). If you did a niche like that are you build a large 50+ page site on generators alone?

that is up to you -- what template you choose and what niche its in -- how much content is available
what are the main products - what are the accessories and how much each sells for.

then you have to consider how much traffic the site would get chasing keywords .... I just used those as examples as for some reason people struggle to find something to work with.

some sites it's not worth doing too much with it - while others have a tonne of things you can use - and can make a much larger authority site.

I can't answer every question with just one answer obviously -- it depends on many factors that are individual to a site.

I've heard differing opinions on whether or not to use a shopping cart button on affiliate sites. Some prefer to just use a "more info" button. But how many people are also using an "add to cart" button on their product pages? Clicking the "add to cart" button stores products on a temp cart then redirects them to amazon once they want to check out.

Also, who prefers wp zonbuilder over wp robot? I'm currently using zon builder.

yeah the use of buttons is debatable as to which is better

my personal view is something that says more info - find out more - check price or something other than buy now is better and chance for more clicks/sales

the shopping cart benefit vs click link - longer duration but people become aware of you being just a front -- so I actually think the shorter cookie with less invasive language is better practice

this will also be debatable I guess and depends on how professional your site is.

auto plugins I don't think it matters really -- its become so much more about content and quality links to make any real money -- autoblogs just get limited by Google in terms of how long they can rank for and how high they can get.

plus once you get penalized for crap content well then its over.

there is alot that goes into running a successful Amazon business once you start targeting $1500 + a month ... that is not a factor when your at $200-$600.

(you have to have a system of site creation / content organization and links people will click -- then you need a Google Ranking strategy and an overall idea of getting targeted traffic for buying things .... not so easy to figure out without alot of testing and tweaking)

I think having both the buttons i.e Add to Cart and More info button is more useful. It lures the visitor to click on the More Info button and either way we are leaving them with a cookie. That is how I think it would work.
