Hi guys,

lately, i have been trying over and over to sign up with amazon associate affiliate program, unfortunately, every time i end up facing an error message at the "Identity Verification" step saying, and i quote, "Amazon is prohibited from making calls to the number you have entered. Please enter a different phone number and try again."
I tried using different numbers, but no luck. it seems that it is a country line issue, however the country i live in has no line issues, i always use US based services and make and receives calls from the US.

I am kind of lost in here and i don't know what to do next, i contacted their support regarding the problem, and their reply was a kind of classical one with no help at all ...
"our technical staff is aware of this situation and are working on a resolution. Due to the proprietary nature of the issue, we can't offer any additional insight or action on this matter."
After doing some search in the internet i came to find that this same reply they send to people for years and the problem is still the same.

so i came here seeking hope that maybe some of you out there has faced this problem before and in way he/she found a workaround to verify their account.
if so, please let me know what should i do to get this fucking account verified, your help will be greatly appreciated.

thanks in advance

You mentioned you used different numbers. Are they all from the same service provider? Maybe it's an issue with their numbers.

i used different service providers, we have 3 services providers, and i used them all but only got the same result.

Get yourself US number, there are online services. There are some Android apps with in-app purchase, it is like $1 to get US # that you can use for like 12 months.

Hi @littlewebdragon ,
thanks for the idea, i tried 3 of them but none worked for me, do you know any specific app that works fine? I need a receiving app where i can receive a call and input the code, not a calling app.
i tried #hashed , #flyp and #freetone

Is your country banned from opening and operating a fully functional Affiliate account?

it is not on the amazon affiliate banned list, my country is a pretty modern one, it should not have any kind of these problems.

Apps that you are looking for are UppTalk or TalkU, but I think TalkU is the one that should work well for you.

I saw this discussion on this forum sometime ago and a lot of people where able to use textnow to get verified.

textnow didn't work for me, it does't offer a number wich i would give to amazon and they will call me back!

I think that problem is for months already, so I think they are not doing anything from it, because amazon is a huge company and if they have a problem their staff can fix it within the day maximum 7 days if it is a big problem.

I use textnow, com and it work perfectly. If it does not work for you, you can pay $1 to someone that leaves in USA or you can use other apps that you will just pay $1 to $10. Good luck
