Amazon Affiliate first time creator

Currently building an Amazon affiliate site, have chosen a niche with low competition keywords. Having read so much information I am rather confused about costs.

So far I have spent
£250 on Wordpress business
£9.99 a month hosting

Having been reading about themes and plugins and these are all around £50-100 and this is all money spent before outsourcing content.

Is this normal expenditure for starting a site?

With so much information and reviews of high end themes that promises money I suppose I am looking a bit of guidance as I am a complete newbie when it comes to this/

all the plugins you need are also free. if not, then they are cracked available on internet.

OP you spend is too high for setup, Here how it goes :-

Domain $1
Hosting $5
Theme : From BHW download section
Plugins : BHW download section for price comparison plugin etc one if you don't find it, just wait until your site rank. Go with free one.

I really dont know where is you spend that £250

might be his first venture into this but sadly hes over spent a little b4 starting

Spend most of your amount on content and links. Don't worry about the themes and plugins right now. Use free themes and plugins. Don't know what do you mean by wordpress business but spending £250 already is too much.
