Amazon 1237 Clicks and 3 Orders

Just recently checked my Amazon stats and I found 1237 clicks and 3 orders. That's .24% and 100% fucking awful!

I mean what the hell is going on? Is everyone interested enough to go to Amazon and then decide they are too broke to buy something?

Ant to top it off people end up buying cheap stuff. The total was $1.24.

I would say there is a problem if people weren't clicking on the amazon ads, but people are clicking, they are just not buying.

anyone else have horrible %'s?

The major problem is the cookie duration of 24 hours set by Amazon. Too short. If those visitors dont buy anything after 24 hours, you will lose the commission. The full income goes to Amazon.

I guess that majority of the people are not really buyers. Even with the 24-hour cookie duration if after visiting your site, the visitor clicks and puts the products in the shooping cart, you will earn commission if the person buys the products even after many days. In your case, there were low orders, which suggets that most of those people are just checking Amazon products without intention of buying immediately.
 
Amazon is terrible, I also have some clics but not a single buy. Also the 4% comission is ridicoulous. Try Clickbank or another network. Maybe Amazon works best with A LOT of traffic, but for small sites is just terrible.
 
there are a few things to consider here.

the niche, the amount of traffic. are these visitors ready to buy what they are seaching for and what you are offering ?

if you are an amazon affiliate plan on getting twice the amount of traffic you planned for. Amazon and egay are the 2 most well branded sites on the internet, can you imagine how hard it is for other online stores? that is why you need way more traffic than you think. I always assume i need twice as much as the keyword research tells me.
but, to avoid trying to get all the traffic, get the emails instead and remarket your
offer.

internet marketing is simple, get emails, bulid relationship, promote offers. even then it's a numbers game.

this is what i do with amazon, make a few sales on the site and then try to sell it. the new buyer feels as though they can make money long term.
 
Amazon just doesn't have a good landing page design. The visitor is bombarded with SOOO much information. They all scroll to the bottom and find the cheaper alternatives.

I have been using amazon for sometime now and I have been facing the same disappointment. Amazon needs to work on the landing pages. We just can't make a sale with such pages.

And the 24 hour cookie is ridiculous. They now that we won't have any other option other using amazon to sell products so they dont give a damn if we keep loosing the commissions. I have seen 100s of people asking amazon to increase the cookie duration to atleast 15 days. But, they just don't give a damn!
 
Mainly because of different devices they use. Most affiliates don't think about this. People browse on cell phones or use a work computer to search for stuff. And they buy it when they go home. So, no cookie, no sale for you. Amazon gets all the credit.
 
mine is even horrible then yours
4123 clicks only 3 orders 4% commision $3.86 site is up since like 8months LOL.
 
I do pretty well on Amazon offers.

The type of product and especially the product price will definitely influence the buying decision of those who actually follow through during the 24 hour buying period.

I setup an autoblog on one of my websites that posts random Amazon products in a specific niche that are low in price. The orders aren't too bad because if the item is junk, then the user barely spent any more anyway.

What type of products are you promoting?
 
Where your visitors are coming from is also very important !! I assume you are registered in amazon.COM partner program. So even if your visitors are from UK. many of them have probably just amazon.co.uk accounts , and same is true for the European visitors , it doesnt matter they find something to worth to buy , they will also make this order in their local version of Amazon. I am not mentioning even if this number includes the assian visitors...You can forget this traffic you know..

So you should say us this number : how many of those 1237 visitors are coming from USA ? Then we can end up with your actual Conversion rate again.
 
I used to have good earning with Amazon for only 1 camera autoblog when it once received more than 1K visitors daily. Everyday I managed to receive at least 1 camera sales range from $100 - $2500 and earned 4% of commission of $4 to $100.

But after Google algorithm change and hit hard on my autoblog, now I got less than 100 visitors daily and my Amazon affiliate barely to get a sale now.
 
some people do really well with amazon but they target niches with little competition

My traffic is from US and the blog that is referring them is an autoblog. I'd rather not say my niche, but my site is XXXforsale.com and was ranked on the first page. So people are looking to buy the product my site offers.

I'll look into Clickbank, but had awful results there. My main moneymaker has been adsense.

1.83% conversion ratio.

904 items shipped.

$2130 commissions on $44,000 revenue.

Not bad, but in the big picture, that's less than 1$ per click I'm making. :(

Can't understand Amazon to.
Was it always a 24 hours cookie? Because I have noticed a huge drop in my conversion rate in the beggining of this year.
 
I would love to be able to track these clicks because I'm dumbfounded by this.

The price is on my blog.
My website is about one product. A simple product.
People are searching for "XXX for sale" which means they are looking to buy my product.

The percentage should be at least 10% of clicks. Not less than 1%.
 
My amazon sites are sucking lately too. I started posting articles after the new algorithm change thinking that maybe my sites too a hit. But no. I didn't lose rankings. I'm just missing out on some serious conversions.
