AMA about PBNs (setup, footprints, things to avoid, et al.)

I noticed on some competitors that they use web.app netlify, and other such static app deployment domains with backlinks to the moneysite directly.
I'm talking about hundreds of such backlinks on hundreds of such domains.

The netlify domains are kept for about 1 month or so and then dropped. What is the point of all this ?

Short term rank & bank strategy.

But goes agains the definition of a long-term PBN.

Btw, thanks for chirping in @Ameni

Would Reseller hosting be an alternative to Runcloud + Vultr?
What are the advantages of reseller hosting vs shared hosting, is it worth looking into it ?

No, not really.

I would always recommend Digital Ocean + Vultr (+optionally Runcloud) over any other option.

WHere do you buy cheap links for your PBNs to get their sub-pages ranking?

WHere do you buy cheap links for your PBNs to get their sub-pages ranking?

We use custom filtered sape links and cheap (< $50.00) link inserts and guest posts for our tier 2s.

Having said that, our goal is not to rank the PBN subpages, our goal is to pass more link equity to our main site.

Hope it helps.

Hello, I have some questions.

1. Is the domains with < 10 nofollow links from big news website good?
2. Can I use the domains which have about 10% spam sh*t backlink and anchors? (My idea is getting more good links to change this ratio)

Have some edit in my questions to make it clear.

1. Is the domains (Ahref DR < 10) with < 10 nofollow contextual links from big news website (Ahrefs DR = 90) worth to invest in? Then I can build more tier 2 link to make it stronger.

2. Is the domains (Ahref DR < 10) with ~ 4 nofollow contextual links from a big news website (Ahrefs DR = 90) and ~ 4 ******** contexsual links from a big news website worth to invest in? Then I can build more tier 2 link to make it stronger.

3. Can I use the domains which have about 10% spam sh*t backlink and anchors? (My idea is getting more good links to balance this ratio)

4. Can I change the PBNs IP after everything has been set up. (this IP still follow your guideline about choosing IP)

Thank you!

Do you use SAPE links to Point to your money site?

What do you look for when selecting the right sape links?

1. Depends on the other links of the site.

2. Sure.

3. Really depends - what do you conside r spam shi*t?

4. Via server migratation, sure.

For our PBNs we use them as tier2.

We look for a variety of factors, including indexation, age, language, TLD, metrics and OBL.

1. You mean nofollow contextual can't make the PBN stronger?
2. 4 do-folow links from the big news (Ahrefs DR = 70) still good? (My last question seems not clear, so I ask it again).
3. It does not only have many good links from big news website but also have some spam link from the bad websites. I don't know if we can use these domains?

Thank you for help!

1. Don't focus on nofollow links as they are not a main driver of link power.

2. Sounds like a decent domain - if the other links and anchor ratio + history are good.

3. You can sure, make sure to check the full history of the site to see where the spammy shit stems from. But these days a lot of sites get spammed by blogspot shit all the time, happens. Doesn't mean the domain is bad - but do your due dilligence when it comes to analyzing the history of the domain.

If other links anchor ratio and history are good and we have 5 levels to qualify the PBN domain:
1. Weak
2. Normal
3. Medium
4. Good
5. Epic
In your opinion, which level it is? And what is the ideal price to acquire this domain?

What's your action with those spam links? Or just ignore it?

Hi,
OBL=1
Does it mean that the homepage of the PBN website has only 1 backlink to a niche website, and the inner page has no backlinks to other websites at all? That is: the entire site (not the homepage) has only 1 backlink to a niche site?
If the OBL of the whole site =1, Will Google think this is a PBN website?
Or does OBL=1 Mean that ONLY the homepage has 1 backlink to a niche website, but the inner pages can have some backlinks to other niche websites or authoritative websites?
thanks

Can't provide an estimate without knowing the domains.

When talking about PBNs:

With OBL = 1 I typically mean that the best page on your PBN (likely the homepage) should only include ONE link to ONE of your money sites.

You can also include nofollow links to other sources - stock free images are good. You MAY include one d0follow link to another authority source on your strongest PBN page. But we do it rarely.

Feel free to add external links to other sites on your inner pages, though. Just don't link to your competitors (yes, seen it happen a few times) ;-)

So thanks.
If my inner page has no niche links to other sites before. I now re-add links to other websites in the article on the inner page. Is it okay?
At the same time, does it usually take 2 months for PBN link to see the effect?
thanks

Do those spam links need any action from me? Or do I just ignore it?

One more question. I don't know if you have answered it somewhere. Do we need to keep the old niche of the domain, or we can build the new content with any niche we want?

You can do that, yes.

2-4 months would be a good timeframe to gauge initial results.

Keep in mind that one single PBN may not have the effect you're looking for, unless it's a high-end auction domain ($1k+)

You can ignore them - Google is smart enough to discredit shitty links by itself.

We like to keep it broadly related. But you can work around any thematic issues by being a bit creative.

Got a finance money site but your PBN is about pets? Write an article about "How pet insurance can save you thousands" or similar.

If you're willing to push the creative barrier, you can create suitable content for any site and theme. But obviously, a domain that was used in your 'broad' niche would be optimal.

Many thanks for your detailed explanation!

There is one more question to consult:
The inner pages of my PBN website do not have outreach links to authoritative websites, but I don’t want to add outreach links to the existing articles on the inner pages.
Can I write a new article and set the publication date of the article as the earliest publication time?
That is: set to be earlier than the time of the published post, and insert an outreach link in this new post.
thanks
